9 Round Eucalyptus Umbrella Frame is rated 1.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from This is a really shoddy product! Less than a month since I bought this frame, it's been gently raised and lowered fewer than 10 times and yesterday the spokes detached from the hub!Turns out that the spokes were held to the hub only by a very thin wire, just 1/16" thick inside plastic tubing, which snapped at the top of the 1/4" twist that closed it. I've used paper clips made of more substantial wire than this. This is the second one of these frames I've bought this season -- the first one blew over in heavy winds and three spokes shattered beyond repair. This is not a robust product!I want a frame this size so that I can continue to use my Sunbrella umbrella cover -- it's15 years old but still in great shape and exactly the right color. (Now, there's a great product. Too bad Smith and Hawkin isn't around anymore.) And I'm tired of messing with this problem. So I fixed it myself with a length of 3/16" metal cable and a screw-down U clamp. But if I had it all to do over again, I'd keep looking.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Same Experience with Workmanship Like the other reviewed, our umbrella fell apart at the end of the season. Yes, I think we can get some new, more durable wire/cable and string it together. Too bad. I had a C&B umbrella that lasted years (over 10) until Hurricane Sandy did it in.
