Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very pleased with my purchase My wife and I are grandparents who were looking for an attractive way to display our many family photos. I wanted 2 inch shelves that would not stick out to far into a hallway. I searched on-line and found what I wanted at Crate and Barrel. I went to the store, looked at one on display and liked it. I needed 6 white shelves, 2- 2ft shelves and 4- 3 foot shelves. They only had 2 in stock but cheerfully offered to ship 4 from another location with no charge for shipping. The 4 shelves arrived in 2 days. Each shelf was in its own package and each package included a paper stencil for taping to the wall with horizontal markings to properly level the shelves. The screw holes were also marked on the stencil. Also included were wall anchors that screwed into the drilled holes and screws to screw into the anchors. They even included a 1 inch air bubble level in case you did not have a level. Nice touch! Each shelf was properly painted. I was surprised at how heavy they felt. They looked like they were cut from one solid piece of wood. There were two hanger slots on the 2 ft shelf and 3 slots on the 3 ft shelf. The steel hangers in the slots were inside the shelf so that when you hang the shelf over the screws the shelf would be as flat as possible against the wall. The hardest part of the project was measuring the wall to properly balance the shelves on the left and right of large hanging pictures in the middle of the wall. Once the stencils were taped to the wall, I drilled through the paper stencil and than removed the stencil. Note that when drilling the hole, make sure you drill exactly in the middle of the marked drill hole. There is not much lee way when hanging the shelves over the screws in the anchors. Also put some lubricant on the screws before screwing them into the anchors. If you don't the screw may freeze half way into the anchor.I am very pleased with the way it turned out. It was a great way to organize a lot of framed photos into an attractive display. I would definitely recommend this product to others.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible terrible terrible! We just purchased these shelves. They arrived today and we meticulously put them up using the directions and pattern provided. The shelves do not sit flush with the wall. They're going in our son's room and all he would have to do it bump them and they emailed fall on his head. I became so frustrated with this process that I wanted to just throw the shelves out the window. We are going to try to see if your handyman can help do any better but if he can't we've just wasted a lot of money and put massive holes in our wall.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Piece of junk The image of this photo ledge on the internet appears to be fairly well made with a solid white surface, however when my ledge arrived it looked as if a first year shop student had pieced it together.  I can see where the nails were put in to hold the two pieces together and it appears as if it's missing 3 coats of paint. Total piece of junk that had I seen in person, I never would've bought.
