New York City-based painter Jennifer Sanchez relies on careful planning and periodic failure to guide the evolution of her craft. Recently interested in Navajo textiles and early 20th century Modernism, Sanchez is drawn to geometric forms that serve as springboards for new paintings.
She approaches each composition with an open mind, keeping general motifs and colors in mind but avoiding hard-and-fast plans. As she works, she layers vivid colors, building up patterns to create simple and direct compositions. Sanchez licenses her compelling images, which can be found in a variety of formats, including prints, fabric, wallpaper, sporting goods and cosmetic packaging.View more artists and designers.
