An avid draftsman at a young age, Randy Hibberd eventually found his way to painting, a medium that gave voice to the fledgling artist’s innermost thoughts. A native Californian, Hibberd moved to Phoenix, where he eventually enrolled at Arizona State University. Although he took art classes during college, it wasn’t until he graduated that he gave his full attention to his craft.
Today, Hibberd maintains a studio in Phoenix, where he has established a successful practice creating works that are found in private and public collections across the United States. Working mostly in an abstract mode, he is fascinated with the ability of color and shape to trigger emotion in the viewer, always experimenting with fresh combinations of pigment and media.
