The Story

A big business chair that works hard at comfort. Generously scaled seat employs foam padding to create a soothing ripple effect. Tilting back, 360-degree swivel and gas-lift mechanism take ergonomics personally. Black bicast leather softens the front while sturdy casters take it mobile.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So far so good I've only had this chair a week. I'm 8 1/2 months pregnant and the stiffness really works to my benefit. Also, the reclining nature is great. Not too much, not too little. I use it at my desk to work and to sew. So far, I love this chair.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Looks nice but isn't built to last. This chair has a beautiful and sleek look but it isn't made to last. The pleather is cheep and when it starts to wear out it makes a mess on the floor. I thought ofhaving it recovered but it isn't made so that an upholster can take it apart. I hateto toss it in the landfill but the salvation army won't even take a chair that is falling to pieces. To sum it up, if the chair is for looks it is a good price but if you need a chair to actually sit in that you want to last - look elsewhere.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from SO SO I purchased the chair based solely on esthetics, and am satisfied, but after sitting in the 'steelcase think' chair recently, maybe I should have gone for the extra money, because it feels amazing. This chair is hard as reviews suggested, and am not quite sure as to the material. If you don't plan on using it often, then maybe purchase it, but if not, definitely go for the extra coin and get the better one

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor Quality The plywood back is of poor quality. The chair looks good but is made from inferior materials. I am 170 pounds and the chair is not able to support my back properly.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very poor quality I would not recommend purchasing this chair, the "cast aluminum" base broke on the first day we used this chair. The chair is going to be returned for a full refund. It's not the level of quality we would expect from C&B. I wanted this chair very badly and am extremely disappointed that one of the 5 legs snapped off and it must go back.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Beautiful, but not suitable for a professional? I work from home at night and was drawn to this chair because of it's awesome looks. It has a really great technical look that works beautifully with the desks in our home office. The only problem I have found is that, since I spend so much time in chairs all day, sitting in a chair fulltime at work, when I come home and begin my night work from the home-office, I get sore sitting in this chair much faster than I do when I am sitting in my heavily padded chair that I use at my office during the day. The sleek styling came at the price of the over-padding.So I think, if you only sit down a couple hours per night to click around the net in your office, this chair would be a great choice. But if you work on your computer, or spend a lot of time at it for any reason, you might want to consider a more padded solution. Or consider buying a pad for this chair.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not so great This chair isn't all it's cracked up to be. First, it's not real leather. Normally I could look past that, but the cheap material used in it's place gets VERY hot if you sit on the chair for too long, and isn't breathable at all. Second, the chair just isn't that comfortable. It's padding is minimal and can get uncomfortable (along with the metal armrests) after very little time. Overall, I'd look for another chair.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Sleek Chair This is not a super cushy chair, but it is by far better looking than any office chair I've ever had. I'm so glad we got these!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A good choice for home office use I was concerned that the seat and back wouldn't be comfortable enough, but they definitely provide enough support. This chair hasn't caused any problems for my back, even after spending many hours at my desk typing away without a break. (I've had it for almost a year now, so I've had quite a bit of experience using it.) The only reason it doesn't get five stars is that the arm rests can be slightly uncomfortable -- but we're talking very minor discomfort, certainly not to the extent of being a dealbreaker.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome desk chair! While not the most cushiony chair, it is still very comfortable and it only takes a couple minutes to assemble. I am very picky with desk chairs as I will look long and hard to find one that is both comfortable and looks great. Unfortunately, it is hard to find a chair that has both qualities but this one is it. It looks great with my Loop Desk. Highly recommend!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfort and Class I have owned the Ripple office chair for about a year and have loved using it every day. The chair is padded for comfort, it swivels for ease of use, and the tilting mechanism has just the right tension - not to loose and not too tight so I can tip back without falling! A wonderful addition to my home office.
