You’ve made your shopping list for Christmas Eve dinner and checked it twice—but don’t forget that if you’re hosting overnight guests, you’re going to need an easy plan for breakfast.

Consider overnight oats and chia seed pudding your own version of Santa’s little helpers: You’ll wake up to a ready-made breakfast with countless possibilities.

Start with the basic recipes:

For the Overnight Soaked Rolled Oats:

  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 3 cups skim milk
  • 1½ tablespoons vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon Kosher salt

For the Chia Pudding:

  • 2 cups chia seeds
  • 3 cups almond milk
  • 1½ tablespoons vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon Kosher salt
