Rated 2 out of 5 by from Sturdy but cracked after one season This umbrella stand is very heavy and did a great job of supporting the umbrella; however, I was dismayed to discover when I was putting it away for the season that is cracked all the way through, after only 4 months of light use. Not exposed to temperature extremes or forces of any kind, so I'm not sure why it cracked. I don't know if this was just a fluke with this particular stand or a product-wide flaw.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent for my new umbrella and outdoor furnitur I have been using it for 2 months and it is a very good product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sturdy and stylish Good solid base with a simple clean design compared to other gaudy offerings.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Could be better So I've owned this base for 2 weeks now. While it feels heavy, if the umbrella is tilted on the angle, the wind can easily blow it over. When standing straight up, the base wiggles when it's windy. Leaving me constantly worrying about it. It's perfectly fine under mild conditions. But I would have hoped that buying the large base would have alleviated this issue. If you plan to use this at ground level and you've got a tall fence, it should be fine. But up on my third floor patio... Eh.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sturdy and attractive So happy with this! We tried a less expensive stand and were disappointed. This one looks perfect with our umbrella, very neutral. Pleased at how heavy and stable it is, even in the afternoon winds we get in our area.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Love, but disappointed. We got this as a wedding gift just a few weeks ago and it has been outside on our raised patio. It already has two large cracks up the sides of it. I was hoping this would last us for a while, but not sure anymore.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointing We bought this stand and a companion umbrella a few years ago. The finish began to bubble and peel off after about a year of use, and the stand now looks very unsightly and weathered. True, the care instructions say to store indoors during "winter and extreme weather," and we've kept it outside most of the time, but we live in the Bay Area, where temps almost never go below 40 or above 80 all year round. I would expect patio furniture to be sturdy enough to handle a mild California climate. (We keep the rest of our patio furniture outside all year without any problems.)

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Stinks Open umbrella will blow over in the wind in this stand. Can't trust it. Get the larger one. I bought an umbrella set on sale and it came with this small one.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from The color is grey The 'charcoal' color is much lighter than the photo. It doesn't match the black umbrella stand they sell.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My umbrella is still standing After putting large stones on my umbrella stand and still finding it on the ground someone has finally come up with a stand that causes my umbrella to stay upright. This stand is wonderful! A whole month and it hasn't been on the ground yet. I would recommend the large stand if the umbrella is not in a table. It really looks great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sturdy and attractive This is a very sturdy umbrella stand. It kept our umbrella standing during a severe storm -- on uneven patio pavers, too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from best stand I have had This stand is simply the best umbrella stand we ever owned We purchased one umbrella last summer, with the medium base (which was the largest sold at the time). It was OK, but could not always keep the umbrella upright on breezy days. When we purchased our second 9' umbrella this season, it was suggested that we only consider the new larger stand. It performs so well, even without the aid of a table to stabilize it, that I went back to purchase a second stand, for the 9' umbrella that I purchased last year.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from good buy it does it's job and there's nothing to complain about.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from easy to use We have a windy patio, and the stand holds up well to the strong breezes.
