The Story

Kobenstyle, the Scandinavian enameled steel oven-to-table cookware designed for Dansk® by Jens Quistgaard in 1956, is now back and available at Crate and Barrel. A collectors' item since going out of production more than 20 years ago, Kobenstyle is crafted of lightweight enameled steel and instantly recognizable for its high-gloss colors, welded cool-touch sculptural handles and inventive lids that double as trivets.

Dansk ® Kobenstyle White 2-Quart Sauce Pan is rated 2.5 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Shortest lifespan of any pot I ever bought Despite being careful never to mix or stir with any metal spoon/spatula/etc., the inner bottom part of this pan quickly became severely scratched and damaged after only a few weeks of use. Big chunks of the inner lining have come off, exposing a rough black scratchy surface. We paid good money for this pot, hoping that it would be a quality purchase. Instead, it was a waste and we will never buy this brand again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Another great pot I've been wanting a modestly sized covered pot for some time, one that didn't cost a fortune but was still a high performer. This is it! If you ALSO love Scandinavian mid-century design, what could possibly be better? Easy to clean, and everything seems to cook quicker and taste better.  So far I have cooked spinach, artichokes, mashed potatoes, mussel soup and macaroni and cheese. All came out great. Next up: fondue. On the downside, the lid is too loose fitting for good steam retention and the wooden handle loosens up pretty quickly with use.
