Beautiful, but Not Quite Functional
I purchased the Double Hanging Curtain set so that I could hang a blackout drape behind my curtains in my bedroom. The rod itself is beautiful, and accomplished the contemporary look I sought to achieve. My one complaint is that the second rod sits almost two inches away from the window, which allows light to escape from behind the blackout curtain and into the room. This, in my opinion, defeats the purpose of a double hanging curtain rod.

love the design
A very cool accent to my curtains -- I love the chunky, sleek finials. I am also impressed by the clever, easy installation. After the obligatory hole drilling, you screw a small plate to the wall. The entire bracket slides over the plate -- so no hardward to get in the way while you tighten the screws, and no unslightly screws showing after the curtains are up.
Paying a little extra for these rods is worth it. They look more substantial than the cheaper rods out there and have a very modern look.

great product
This rod is now hanging in my living room. It's great-looking with my sheers and curtains, but if I move the sheers (open and close them), the mechanism (screw) that keeps the rod from extending does not hold very well. Thankfully, I do not often move them.

High quality curtain rods, but not perfect
I purchased the double curtain rods of varying lengths for a sun room. Even though these curtain rods are more money than I was looking to spend, they were the best quality I was able to find for double rods. They are heavy-duty steel rods that can carry heavy curtains. They come with a flat finial that could be interchanged with another kind, if you have room for a larger finial. My room is small with not much room on either side of the window trim, so the flat finials are ideal here. My construction industry boyfriend was impressed with the quality of the brackets and ease of installation (a flat mount is secured to the wall, then the bracket slides on over the mount). The bronze finish is beautiful and sophisticated.
On the downside, once the bracket is slid onto the mount, it moves from left to right on the mount and does not seem sturdy (but once the rod and curtains are on, there would be no back and forth movement unless someone was tugging on the curtains or rods). The bronze finish also scratches off the rod easily. The set screws on the bracket dig right in and scratch, so I would not recommend tightening those. Also, the screw-in holes for the finials were not machined correctly on all of the curtain rods I received, and the finial ends up double-threading or not screwing in securely.
Other than these minor imperfections which could be improved upon, I love these sturdy, good-looking curtain rods and hope to keep them for a long time.
