Legendary designer Maija Isola drew inspiration for Paprika ("sweet pepper") from her observations of underwater life during a trip to Crete in the 1960s. Designed in 1965 as part of the Kreetalta ("from Crete") series, Paprika embodies fluid abstract shapes which thrive deep in the Mediterranean. Blossoming freeform figures densely populate an open sea, conjuring a sense of movement that flows and shifts with the current. Convenient side carrying handle.
