Step up looks better.
I bought this for a one-step into our utility room from the garage. My husband does alot of yard work and I thought this could catch the dirt off his shoes and keep the painted wood step from getting beat up. Does the job, and looks so good. too bad it's just in a garage step. Looks nice enough for any indoor steps.

Perfect Choice
Purchased these for deck stairs which are pretty steep. My large dogs were very hesitant to walk down and these provided just the right amount of traction for their feet, even in the snow. I did have to put a few small nails in to hold them in place. I also find that they seem to grip less on certain types of wood, so if your don't mind it - the nails do the trick. They are very attractive, and after seeing them, my co-worker bought them for his house. I have not seen any other product that I would have liked better.

Do their job well.
What can I say? They keep my feet steady on the steps. That's their job. And they do it well.

Inside Use too
We have wood stairs inside the house that get very high traffic. I purchased these to put on the stairs so they would get less scratches and be protected. They do not move around and actually give it a modern contemporary look!

Really Works
I wondered if these stair treads would really work on my outside steps, but as soon as I put them down, I knew they did. On painted brick steps (outside), they really are non-slip and help with the wear and tear on the paint. The simple geometric design is what sold me on these, as most stair treads you can find are fancy, curly-que things that don't go with my modern house. I had wondered if I might have to glue them down, but one step on them and you realize that your weight keeps them firmly in place...so no glue required. I'd recommend them for anyone needing extra security on outside steps.
