Great Runner
Purchased this a few months ago and it has proved to be very durable. Cats have been scratching at it from day one and it has not even frayed. The rubberized backing keeps it in place nicely too.

fits many styles, well-made
I bought this runer along with the 2x3 mat for my kitchen. They look great -- clean lines yet casual. I'm using them without a rug pad on wood floors, and they stay put just fine. The only reason for four rather than 5 stars is that I wish the color had been a slightly deeper chocolate shade.

You get what you pay for
We are furnishing a new home and have bought a lot of furniture and accessories from C&B. I've been extremely pleased with the quality of the items that I've ordered and the customer service.
The chocolate sisal runner is the one thing I've ordered that I'm not completely satisfied with. I ordered two for a long, high-traffic hallway. After 3-4 weeks on the floor, the runners still pucker from where they were rolled up. And while they do seem durable, as other reviews have said, and serve the purpose of protecting the hardwood floors underneath, they do nothing for the room aesthetically.
I wish I had ordered two of C&B's more expensive and more color-rich runners instead of trying to save money on these relatively inexpensive ones.

Great Rug
I got the 8x10 almond rug to layer with another smaller rug that I had. This rug adds another layer of texture to my room and looks great as a base for my other rug.
The quality of this rug is great. I love the rubber-like backing to keep this rug in place.
Be careful not to spill anything on it. It will stain easily and is not easy to clean because of the natural fibers.
Overall, I love this rug and the way it makes my room look. I would definately buy it again!

Durable quality with contemporary look
Know that when you purchase sisal or jute rugs that they have a rope/twine feel. They are not your normal type of soft rug to lie on. They are durable for high traffic areas. cleaning up spills not so easy though. Still would recommend as a great accent piece with a contemporary feel.

will get a 2nd one!
This runner is in my hallway and has withstood over 1 year of two dogs and two adults trampling on it daily. Its heavy and does not slide easily on my hardwood floors, I chose not to place a rug pad underneath. It does not hold odors, iand s not losing its form which I am very happy about. Still looks brand new. It is a little rough on my bare feet, not too bad though. I am getting a second one so that I can completely have my entire 92" long hallway floor covered.

Why not sisal?
With a large sisal rug in our living room, I decided to add a small sisal rug inside the front door? Why not? This rug is durable, easy to keep clean, and cleans shoes as people come into the house. I'm very pleased with how it looks, as it coordinates well with our decor. Typical of Crate & Barrel merchandise, it's a good value and I'm glad I chose it.

Happy Camper
This is an extremely well made product. First of all, it is rolled up with the carpet side out, so when you lay it down, there are no curling corners or edges: HUGE. Second, the carpet has no border where the weave is even; not one row is out of alignment. It is easy to vacuum and I am beyond impressed with this sisal rug.

Beware of Texture
Bought this carpet in the runner size for our kitchen. For anyone not familiar with sisal, it is very durable, but hard and scratchy. We returned this rug because it was not comfortable to walk on with bare feet. Would not advise this rug for households with crawling babies due to the texture. Otherwise this is a great rug for high traffic areas. It is thick and has a great rubber backing. Also not quite as scratchy as some other sisal.

Perfect rug for high traffic areas
I got two of these rugs for our corridors and they were a great purchase! Very durable and easy to clean. As expected, they are not really pretty but don't look bad at all, plus the almond color is beautiful.

Love this Rug
I ordered the 4'x6" to put under the breakfast room table and the runner for the front entry way. This is an excellent rug for high traffic areas and stays in place beautifully. I have two dogs who like to play in that area and that is important. Very nice quality.

Great Rug
I purchased this rug for my back hallway entrance/laundry room. I've had many different rugs there over the years, but this is absolutely the best. Easy to vacuum; it doesn't get sucked into the vacuum. It doesn't show dirt. Very durable. Love it!

Great Mud Room Rug
I purchased the sisal rugs in the runner 2.5x8 and the 4x6 in the Almond for our mudroom. They are great! I love the rubber backing already attached to the rugs and the Almond color is beautiful. Because they are sisal, my four younger children did say they were very rough at first...but are now used to the rugs feel. They are very attractive and perfect entry rugs!

Beautiful but..
this rug looks beautiful but its not soft for your bare feet, its best for high traffic areas ONLY not recommended for your bedside for example...
