THEY SHED!
When I first received the rugs I was excited
I thought that I finally found the PERFECT DOOR MAT
they are THICK with a nice solid RUBBER backing, they looked PERFECT!

THEN CAME THE RAIN!

once wet,
the FIBERS COME LOSE AND THEY SHED!
I PURCHASED 5 OF THEM! so needless to say I AM NOT HAPPY
Crate & Barrel always (did) offer quality products

and offer me a FULL REFUND

Poorly Made Product
An outdoor carpet is supposed to clean your shoes outside your home.
Instead, this product tracks hair throughout the house, instead of leaving the dirt outside.
The tufts pull through the rubberized backing and create a problem which never existed before.
Our granddog sheds less than this rug.

The Essential Mat
Thick, substantial, sturdy, aesthetically pleasing, sustainable materials and perfectly sized. Purchased in combination with the larger size coir mat and boot scraper, plus boot trays for our entryway. The coir catches all the dirt, gravel, snow, etc. and the rubber mat lining saves the floor from any moisture. Much better for the job than the thinner (cheaper) unlined coir mats you get at the superstores that just sift the dirt thru to the floor. I just shake out the mats and vacuum. Done.

High Door Clearance Required
I ordered this small area rug along with another one and both of them were taller than I expected. Make sure your door has a clearance of about 2 inches from the base floor.
Has a coarse texture so I would recommend it more for outside use or a utility area.
