Nice for Plants
I like this set, however, I was suprised at the material. It is almost like a tin-- they look more solid and sturdy online,
Definetly need to weight them down, the insert is awesome and does make it very nice and easy to plant in.

Wonderful product
Really well-made for the price of the item. Finish looks great. I am an interior designer, so I can honestly say I am quite picky! The size is great to elevate the plant and add volume to the room.

Qualified Recommendation
We bought this as a replacement for the identical item purchased about three years ago. The original one rusted out and leaked. It would be great if this item could be treated with a rust preventative.

Love these planters!
This planter is elegant without being heavy or expensive. The finish gets a nice patina being out in the elements and the blue color complements green foliage nicely. My only complaint is the rail isn't really wide enough to go over your average 2x4 deck railing. Also, the first planter I received was damaged, but C&B was really helpful and sent me a new one promptly.

Great planter
I love these planters. I have them hanging over an outdoor shower wall that is made of galvanized metal. The contrast of bright shiny metal with the matte black/grey is very attractive and the plants display nicely.

I bought these for our wooden deck in back to add to the railing. When I received them they were not wide enough to hang on wooden railing. I then put them on my rod iron railing in the front. They look nice but really wanted them for back deck.

Attractive boxes
Pros: Very attractive, modern yet a little rustic.
Cons: Much lighter than expected, starting to show a little rust already, very streaky from rain.
Even with the cons, I'm satisfied. I really like the design.

Really great items
When I ordered the rail hooks and planters I wondered if they would fit on the railing of my terrace. They fit very well by hooking over the top rail and under the next lower rail. I won't worry that they will blow off my 6th flloor terrace! They also match the color of the railing. After my first 4 pairs of hooks and planters arrived I ordered 2 more sets and I'm planning on filling my terrace railing with wonderful blooms!

Great purchase
Absolutely love, love, and love. The style and look is wonderful for my patio and family and friends compliment on them all the time. The only thing is the rail hook did not fit over my deck railing....too small so make sure you measure the width before you buy the rail hook. So my wonderful husband got clever and crafty and built me and extension wood platform off my railing, then took metal screws and attached the planter box to the platform. Worked out great. Plus it is solid and no way will high winds take this planter off the deck. Highly recommend this product....cannot go wrong.

Great planters
I just received my 2 planters, as they were on back order. I now know why, they are darling. I can't wait to fill them with flowers this weekend. They are sturdy and fit perfectly on my patio. I would highly recommend to any buyer.

planter rail bracket
This rail hook is perfect for balconey railings with round wide top rails. Very hard to find. No major hardware store has anything like this. I'm so glad my hunt is over.

Better than I expected
These are very light weight and fit perfectly over my deck railings which are 2*4s. I bought two and they look perfect planted with my herb garden.

I bought these at least 5 years ago.
It's important to note that the boxes are steel so they get HOT and boil the roots when they're in direct sun. To work around this, put your plants in 3 6" pots (as the add suggests, incidentally) and then put the pots in the boxes. I add spanish moss on top too, just for the aesthetic.
I live in a not-so-nice neiborhood so I wanted to make sure that my boxes didn't get lifted. I drilled holes in the side of the box and added a u-bolt with nuts that tighten on the inside, around the holder and around the railing. They're super secure now and still look lovely!

Works great on my balcony!
I live in DC and have a balcony. I wanted to put some plants on the railing area but I could not have anything that had the potential to fall off the balcony (and on to people walking on the sidewalk below). This works great! It hangs over the balcony towards me so there is no chance of it falling. Additionally it fits perfect and looks great!

Good, but ...
I liked these except the rail hook did not fit around my balcony ledge which is round. Aside from that, they were nice looking and made of a very light weight metal.
