Does its job
I have a lot of throw rugs throughout my apartment and I think this rug pad works just as it is supposed to. I have two of them for two 3x5 rugs that i have in the walk in closets and they keep the rugs right in place. I was actually surprised to see the negative reviews.

A terrible product. Used it with small area rug-rug on rug. It slips even with one person walking on it at one time. I regret cutting it to size because now I cannot return to store. Although it was only about $17, I certainly expected this pag to work. Do not buy it.

Didn't work for us.
We purchased a 5 x 8 Easyhold rug pad for our new area rug. We had to cut about 3 inches off both the width and length (not an easy task). We followed the directions for placing the pad on carpet and placed the rug on top. It slipped several inches and bunched up, even with a heavy dining room table on it. After several attempts, we gave up and purchased grip pad from another store. It worked great. We were able to salvage the Easyhold rug pad by cutting it even smaller and using it under our coffee table area rug.

good quality and thin profile
So far, I like it. It's very thin and holds rug in place in the kitchen. Thin profile excellent for a thin rug; used it with the Tucker Strip Rug 30x50.
