Dewit Forged Trowel is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sturdy, nice fit for my hand. I generally wear a m/l glove and this trowel fits my hand perfectly. My husband has been using it as well to dig up dandelions and it is holding up well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I'm a Dewit convert The Dewit forged trowel is made in the Holland and is simply put, one of the best and most-used gardening tools I have ever purchased. I have had this trowel (from Crate and Barrel) since last year. It is hands-down, my favorite trowel. The edges and point are sharp, the curve of the spade is wide enough to hold a reasonable amount of dirt while digging, it digs through garden soil and clay fairly easily, and the tool has not bent (yet). We also owned several Fiskars trowels which were plastic and not worth a darn in clay soil, as well as a specialty "Deep Digger," which is a great tool, but very narrow and without such sharply honed edges as the Dewit. I wish I had bought two, because this is now the first trowel that my husband reaches for. After being impressed with the quality, I bought the Dewit cultivator, dibbler, dandelion fork, potting soil scoop, and hand fork. I think that's the best review of a product: when you go back for other items. Remember to buy the little leather straps so that you can hang it somewhere handy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really nice quality tool I have 36 acres. Two of which are designated for vegetable gardening. So I really use my tools. This is very well made. Sturdy. Nice weight. And incredible deal. Barely more than I would have had to pay for cheap that wouldn't have lasted a season. I have sworn to only buy quality and this is that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I dig this little dude so hard. Seriously, this dude and his companion tools are hard steel that won't bend, break and easily rust like many of the other gardening tools I've bought. I am a busy mom of four and have little time for gardening and even I can appreciate these and find them to be worth the investment. I was recycling/throwing away too many other tools that could not stand up to the hard work that clay soil and rocks requires. These DO the hard work for me. I don't expect I'll need to replace them for a looooong time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from worth every penny I bought this trowel and the slim one too. I have very rocky soil and I must be a pretty brutal gardener because I bend/break at least two or three trowels every year. When I was browsing, I stumbled across these. I liked the metal and solid construction. I have not been disappointed at all. A month later and still working great! The width of this trowel is nice for scooping or moving larger amounts of soil, but I really love the slim trowel. Give that one a look too. (I recommend you splurge and get both.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tools meant to last The quality of this trowel is excellent. I have used many trowels over the years, this one is comfortable to hold, strong, well designed shape for digging. I liked it so much i bought the 5 prong cultivator as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from sturdy! Just had to buy this trowel! There is still snow on the ground but I can't wait to use this trowel. Really sturdy, and fits my hand nicely. A little sharp around the edges which I like to cut through roots. Love the look of it also!
