Porcelian? I recieved Plastic
I've reread the description several times - it definitely says white porcelain. What I received is like Melamie and definitely plastic. VERY DISAPPOINTING!

TOO SMALL
Nicely shaped plate but too small.
Most appetizers and condiment will fill plate one time only. If you wish to change appetizers that are different sauces etc....you will want another plate.
Crate and Barrel....just make them bigger and they will be great.

Great plate
Always wanted a square plate without the sharp corner. This one is the perfect match. Plates are beautiful and hopefully will wear well. I purchased them for the big Thanksgiving gathering.

Great Salad and Brunch Plates
These plates are the perfect size for salads or egg dishes. My husband and I love the flat, square shape, which lets the food really shine. They have held up really well, and look fabulous in a table setting.

Great everyday dish!
I have had these dishes for several years now and they are great! They are a great size for everyday portion control and work beautifully as a salad plate on the large rectangular dinner plates, great offset look on dinner table. These dishes have held up well. The perfect plate for a modern clean look.

Perfect for a small meal.
My husband and I registered these to complement the "Essential Dinner Plate" to mix up the square with the round. We both love them for eating a smaller meal. We've had them for over a year and they have held up very nicely. They aren't too heavy or thick, but feel like they are great quality and I would have guessed were more expensive than they actually are.

Nice plates
I purchased the plates for a shower gift, the plates were wonderful as expected.
The gift wrapping and box the 12 plates came in was not so nice. The box was big and awkward and it felt like to plates were going to break through the bottom. Very disapponted in the giftwrapping and shipping. I would never gift wrap again with Crate and Barrel.

My daughter is in culinary school and was delighted to receive these plates. I gave her 2 sizes: the smallest and the largest sizes. She thinks they are perfect. The color allows the food to be the main event, the shape is contemporary and stylish, and it matches any table setting.

Love them!
I purchased the 6 piece sets of 5", 8" and rotating white plates and 2 mini pitchers. I use many plates during the day, so I wanted a large supply and a variety of plates sizes. These coordinate nicely with my everyday dinner ware (another brand).
The packaging of the items was the best I have ever seen. I cannot believe the care that Crate and Barrel gave my purchases.

Produce defects
I was disappointed with the defects of the product. There were numerous flaws and the bottom of the plates showed through to the top surface of the plate. Also many of the plates appeared to have indentations from the plate stacked on top as though the plates were stacked prior to the ceramic hardening. This was consistent with all sizes of the plate.

Fantastic purchase!!
The plates were amazing!!! We used them at a social gathering and everyone loved them. Large enough to handle a big meal!!!With US Marines attending our "cook in" the plates went well beyond the call of duty! Next payday I will be ordering another set!!! The style of the plates can blend well with other kitchen decors!!! Also the plates were well packed!! Please recycle all materials that you can!!! Crate and Barrel -well done!!!!

Adorable
I ordered the 5 inch plates to hold seasoned olive oil for bread dipping. It works very well for that purpose, Inasmuch as I'm trying to cut down on my portion sizes, this sweet little plate is accomplishing that.

Better Than Expected
These are the best plates I have in my collection. The reason I say that is because they are perfect for warming up left-overs and are so convenient that they are stacked near the microwave for easy access. They have a classic design and can be "dressed up" for dinner parties or used everyday for "heat and eat" meals. Love, Love, Love them.....
