Flatware Set
The design is lovely - But...
I bought the 50 piece set as a shower gift for my daughter in law to be. I was very disappointed in the packaging of this product. It came in a flimsy tattered box - the flatware in bundles, banded together - not presentable for a gift. The enclosed gift card was torn with holes in it ! The message inside was very poorly done- off center lettering on a label that was partially off the actual card.
I'm glad the gift was shipped to me- I would have been embarrassed to have her open it, as it was, at the shower. I expected better attention to detail from Crate & Barrel.
Overpriced for the overall quality.

Classic, Versatile
We chose Strand after picking up every flatware set on display at our local C&B. We love all of the pieces for the substantial weight, great in-hand feel, and classic design. These are more on the casual side but easily transition from breakfast to dinner party.

Goes with anything!
We got this flatware for our wedding 8 months ago and we have loved them! They have a nice, heavy feel but are not too bulky. They are simple but definitely unique. I am excited to hear how they have held up for other reviewers.

Great everyday flatware
I received this flatware back in 2003 for my wedding, and I just ordered a couple more forks to replentish some we've lost. I love the feel and look of this flatware, and it's worn nicely in the 7 years I've had it.

Nice and sturdy!
We put these on our registry...didn't get them, so bought them ourselves afterwards. Great purchase! A year later, we need more for Thanksgiving!!! I'm so glad C&B still carry them. They've held up great. We have older children and they haven't been able to hurt them yet! :)

Great value and very nice
Loved these when I got married in 2001 and still do. Needed to add 4 more place settings to our drawer so just ordered more. Happy that this pattern is still available 8 yrs later, and the old pieces don't look like they've been used every day for 8 yrs even next to the new ones (yes they do show some age but not what I would have expected.) Always washed in d/w. What I like about this pattern is, the simple design, the pieces are really smooth, with no rough spots or edges, and fairly heavy so they feel expensive despite being one of the least expensive pattern at C&B. Have gotten several compliments on them over the years.

Disappointed
Purchased 12 place settings, steak knives and extra serving pieces. After only 5 weeks the knives were starting to pit and rust. Very disappointed as I was very happy with the weight and feel of this set. Was able to return and obtain a different style - we'll see how those work out.

Wonderful quality
I purchased this as a wedding gift that the couple had registered for. The flatware is very well made and sturdy. This couple obviously has good taste and I'm very pleased I made this purchase for them.

Great Flatware
We received this flatware as a wedding gift and we love it! They are beautifully designed and go with any style. I gave them a rating of 4 because they flatware does get some water spots on them after being in the dishwasher, but they usually rub off and I'm sure if I got some cleaner, the water spots would be gone. This flatware is beautiful and affordable, overall a great buy.

Best. Flatware. Ever.
Don't be fooled by the low price on this flatware. Nothing cheap about it. It's substantial but not unwieldy. Classic proportions means it goes with everything. We've had ours for eight years and it still looks great (even the fork that got caught in the garbage disposal for a second). Serving pieces are really nice, too.
