Larger than expected
I receved this as a bridal shower gift after registering for it online. Since I didn't see it in person, I didn't expect it to be as large as it is. It's very pretty, but really on the large side. We live in a condo with a small-ish kitchen and don't really have the space to spare for something this large that won't be used all the time. If you have a lot of kitchen storage, I would recommend it. But since we don't, it will be returned.

Stunning!
This piece is beautiful! Not only can you use it for salad, but it makes a stunning center piece for everyday use! We registered for this for our wedding. It's larger than I expected, but that's not a bad thing! Looks great no matter when you use it.

Feeds many!
If you have a large table and are serving many people, this is a fantastic salad bowl. It is beautiful and easily can be used for both a more casual occasion as well as a more formal event.

I purchased this as a shower gift and was so pleased with it, I have ordered one for myself. I can envision so many uses for this all year long, I don't think it will ever be stored in a closet!

Gorgeous and big
I admired this set for a long time before finally treating myself to it, and a few months later I had a chance to use it at a dinner party. It looked SO elegant. I absolutely love this piece. It is a VERY big bowl - it was great for a salad for 13 people. It requires some gentle handling to clean up, so I wouldn't use this as an everyday salad bowl. For a party, though, it's gorgeous.

Wonderful product!
What a fantastic product. As other reviewers have mentioned, the bowl/set IS big - but that is such a nice feature! We received this as a wedding present and are sure to receive many compliments on it - it is beautiful. I can't wait to serve salads and pastas out of it in the future.

Beautiful Bowl
I bought this bowl for a friend for her birthday. She loved it. She likes to entertain and used it the first day she got it. Everyone at her party raved over it and one of her guests is heading straight to Crate and Barrell to buy it. I have been thinking about the bowl ever since I bought it and I am going to get one for myself.

Great item!
I love this bowl so much that I have purchased another one! I use it very often, because it's large and not too deep so it can hold all kinds of meals. Everyone who saw it at my house wanted to know where I got it.

Very large and fabulous!
Love this. It's beautiful and really makes a statement on the table. It is very big so you need a large space to store it. The serving utensils are nice looking but don't allow you to scoop up any dressing that sits at the bottom of the bowl bc they are too flat. I find most salad bowls too small and this is perfect for 2 - 10 large salad servings with room to toss.

Great for salad or display
This is a beautiful salad bowl, but it's also great to have on your counter or table to hold fruits and vegetables. It's definitely sturdy and has a neat look to it -- hard to describe, but it's modern, elegant, classy, and laid-back all at the same time. I think it really depends on what you put in it and how your house looks overall.

Wonderful gift idea
The bowl is gorgeous--shaped in a shallow but very spacious artistic shape and placed in the stunning acacia wood 'rack' holder. It is impressive with the fall gourds I am showing now. Just LOVE it and will undoubtedly give as a gift!

Beautiful Set
I purchased this item for a shower gift. I thought it was a beautiful set. It looks very nice sitting on a table. I could imagine it being full of a colorful salad / looking very nice sitting out with a meal.

Huge bowl
When I spotted this bowl on C&B website I got so excited. I saw a very similar bowl while visiting my family in Europe and really wanted to get one for myself but was reluctant to carry it in the suitcase. So I did not hesitate and order this one from C&B not paying attention to the bowl description - I guess I automatically expected it to be of similar size as European one.
I received my bowl today and was shocked by its size - this is a huge bowl, definitely not for family of four. Don't take me wrong, I don't blame C&B. I should have red dimensions!!!
However, I still like it very much but will be able to use it only while entertaining large company. On the other side, this one is so much better looking then European one :-)

Beautiful/large salad bowl
This is a large salad bowl. I loaded it with fruit and gave it as a gift. The acacia wood is very nice with the clear glass bowl. The recipient is very pleased.
