Wonderful all purpose bowl

Great gift!
We recieved this as a wedding gift. At first I didn't really know what to use it for, but once I read the reviews, I realized how versatile of a piece it is. It's a very heavy glass and the stripes are deeply etched in. It's something that is too nice to put away in a cabinet until you need it. We will use this as a serving bowl for company and as a large fruit bowl or decoration piece when not being used for food. I feel like this would be perfect for a layered dessert (like strawberry shortcake & the dessert made of layers of pudding, oreos and cool whip). Awesome gift for anyone, but especially newlyweds who don't necessarily have serving pieces.

High-end Bowl
I love this piece. We get a ton of compliments on it! I use it as a centerpiece with filler most of the time and people always comment. It looks very expensive and is made very well. It is much heavier than it appears; very sturdy.

A Favorite!
This is an absolute favorite bowl! It makes a beautiful home decor centerpiece when filled with seasonal display items. I LOVE this bowl for serving foods! It is versatile, sturdy and a generous size ~ perfect for large salads and fruits. The Scala bowl makes a great gift (if you can bear to part with it..... ;-)

Elegant piece!
This is such an elegant piece! We received this as a wedding gift and it looks amazing anywhere. It is very heavy and the etching is flawless. We keep it in either the kitchen or on top of the dining table for a polished look.

unusual and beautiful
We received this as a wedding gift (not on our registry), and it turned out to be one of our favorite gifts! This is a substantial bowl, and the etched design is simple and gorgeous. I love the flow to the lines which are perfectly uneven (not too straight, and not too wavy). Overall, we couldn't be more pleased!

Love!
I love, love, love this bowl! We got it as a wedding present with the intention of using it for seven layer salads, but it's just too pretty to put away! Right now, it's sitting in our kitchen with some fake lemons in it, and I smile every time I see it. Really heavy, love the lines of the bowl, and I really love the "swirl."

Super Gift
I purchased this product for a wedding shower gift. When the bride-to-be opened the box and lifted out the Scala Bowl, there were audible gasps from the shower guests. The bowl is absolutely beautiful, as well as, timeless! Great gift!!

LOVE IT!
I am in love with this gift! I got it as a present at my wedding shower a few months ago and EVERYONE loved it! It was a favorite of everybody's that day. I have decided to put some Christmas balls in it for the season. It is a wonderful piece to display things as well as using a serving dish when we have guests over. I feel I will be getting a lot of good use out of this gift for years to come!

Great Gift
We registered for the Scala bowl for our wedding and received the bowl as an engagement gift. Our wedding is about 1 month away and I haven't had the chance to use the bowl yet, but every time I see it in the store I imagine what a great piece it will be. The clearness and uniqueness of the bowl will compliment a colorful fruit or green salad or even pasta. It is pictured above with flowers floating in it. It is versatile and would make a great gift for anyone!

Hit of the shower!
I just had my first wedding shower...full of Crate and Barrel gifts...and this was by far my favorite and the most popular! It's such a beautiful bowl, I don't plan on storing it with my other serving dishes. I must find a prominent spot in the house where everyone can admire it like I do. So beautiful and classic. This is why I registered with Crate and Barrel. :)

Gorgeous
I could not find a single functional, beautiful salad bowl reasonably priced in all of Reno. Thank goodness for Crate and Barrel. I had many compliments on it at Christmas Eve dinner. It easily holds salad for 12+ people. It is VERY heavy though, for passing around the table...its only downside.

Beautiful Bowl
