Buy them!
These dishes are heavy duty but beautiful- not clunky at all. After 25 years, we looked around for months for the right set. These wear well and look great - can be dressed up or down. Very versatile.

Great Dishes!
These dishes are great! They suit both casual and formal dining (depending on table linens/accessories).
The dinner plates and bowl are quite large (a little too big for cereal and might not fit in shallow shelves). But all in all they are very durable and its a big perk that they are oven, dishwasher, and microwave safe!

Loving the colour, size and weight of the dishes. They have been in the dishwasher many times and are defintely up to the challenge, no chips, cracks or breaks! The best part of this set is that my meals look so good on these dishes. I was looking at dishes for quite awhile, this set was the one, as soon as I saw it, I knew....

The dishes are good quality and quite attractive. Have held up well so far. Only criticism is that the bowl is a little big.

Love 'em!
I purchased 8 place settings of the Scavo dinnerware with the swirl salad place. I love, love, love them! They are very substantial and the bowls are generous in size. I wanted a large bowl because we eat a lot of salads, and these are perfect. The Scavo dinnerware has added a fresh look to my dinner table!

great look, but very large bowls
this is a beautiful setting!. the bowls are really too large for salad/cereal. We kept our old set of bowls to complement this set. consider some swirl plates to mix in

Scavo Dinnerware with Swirl Salad Plate
Purchased in November, I have 2 sets and serving dishes. They are GREAT.! Well made, don't chip or scratch. I wish they made the swirl in the large plate and bowl. Beautiful set.

Lovely!
We purchased a service for 12 a few months ago. Honestly, if I had only seen these dishes online, I wouldn't have purchased them. I stopped by to see them in the store, and they are just beautiful! I've been looking for a long time to find just the right set. I wanted dishes that are perfect for everyday use, but can also be used for casual meals with family and friends. This set is more of an "artisan" style, and pieces can have slightly different looks, much like hand-made pottery. The bowls are large and I would like to have some smaller bowls for fruit, cereal, etc. I like a larger mug for coffee and tea and these work very well. I would suggest that Crate and Barrel add a sugar and creamer set and some bakeware in colors that can coordinate. I use the dishes in my microwave and wash in our dishwasher on a delicate, no-heat drying cycle.

Beautiful Set
I purchased place settings for 12 of these dishes to replace a set over 15 years old. The package was shipped super fast and everything was packed extraordinarily well. The dishes are absolutely gorgeous and have far exceeded my expectations. The soup bowl and salad plates are generously sized, and they are of substantial weight- not flimsy as to be easily chipped. The price was about what you would pay at a nice department store yes, but the dishes are worth it. After this pleasantly great shopping experience I will plan to order again in the future from Crate and Barrel.

Love it!
I love this dinnerware. I had a hard time finding something to replace my 10 year old every-day pattern, which was chipped and scratched. I've had this set for about 4 months now and I love it...very durable for a stoneware. It washes well in the dishwasher. I dropped one of the smaller plates in the sink yesterday and it didn't chip or crack.
My only complaint is that it took several tries to get all the pieces "perfect". Many of the pieces had small dots of the dark glaze (which I assume came from the edge) in the middle of the creamy center. I had to return about a third of the pieces for replacements, and since it was around the holidays a lot of them were on back order. I had to to back to the store twice to get all the pieces with no flaws.

Nice set of dishes
Nice design - modern but not overly contemporary--really meshes nicely with traditional as well as casual contemporary; the bowlsand mugs are LARGE!--the bowls make nice pasta or soup bowls, but would love to see this line make a smaller bowl that is more useful for salads and cereal and ice cream, etc.....these seem to wash well in the dishwasher and they do well in the microwave. All in all, am satisfied with the purchase.

Got this for my adult son moving into a new condo. It was well coordinated for slate floors and beige/rust tones in room. Liked the masculine feel and substance.

Larger Serving Pieces... Please!
I have searched extensively for affordible, good quality dinnerware that not only has an interesting, textural look all on its own, but is also neutral enough in color / pattern to be truly versatile. Your "Scavo" dinnerware fits the bill beautifully!
I plan to use these dishes in every season and holiday by changing around my table linens and accessories (much easier than having to store another complete set of dinnerware). I feel, however that Scavo's (significant) limitation is the small size and limited function of its serving pieces. The 14 x 6 inch rectangular and 13 inch round "platters" and the 9 inch "serving bowls" are OK(?) for everyday use (unless I want to serve pasta or salad, a carved roast, or baked items such as casseroles), but these pieces are nowhere near large enough when we have friends or extended family over. I would LOVE to be able to purchase the following: 1) large (covered) serving bowls that would double as casseroles / bakers, 2) a large rectangular (or oval) piece with high enough sides to be used as either a serving or appetizer platter, tossed salad or pasta bowl, or a shallow baking dish, and lastly, 3) a salt & pepper set + cream & sugar set (in the non-swirl pattern so they are the most neutral and versatile). I'm told by a clerk at our local Crate and Barrel that this line of dinnerware is so popular that "We can't keep it on our shelves", so I would assume that expanding the function of the serving pieces would make it an even bigger seller. I'd be curious to know...has anyone else had second thoughts about purchasing this dinnerware because it lacks "completeness" in its available serving pieces?

Awesome!
I purchased 8 place settings of Scavo Dinnerware. I love it The look is clean and elegant. I use it for everyday and special occasions. Dishwasher safe, yeah! I also bought the serving bowl, platter and square dish. Perfect! I would definitely recommend it!

Gorgeous dishes
We love our new dishes. Each piece has slight variations giving them a handmade look. The coffee mugs are a great shape and size. The serving bowls have a beautiful finish on the outside. Couldn't be happier with the whole set!
