Direction 9 oz. Double Old-Fashioned Glass is rated 4.0455 out of 5 by 132.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Hard to clean I love the sleek simplicity of these glasses and the thick bottom. However, food gets lodged in the tiny open space in the bottom from washing (especially in the dishwasher) and is impossible to get out. I can't use them when serving guest because it looks like food is floating at the bottom of their drinks!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Just ok We received these glasses as a gift. They are very pretty to look at, but the bottoms are very heavy and the glass around the top is very thin, so they are easy to break, so for that reason, I don't use them very often. If they hadn't been a gift, I would probably have returned them for something a little more durable.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Oddly weighted glass!! I had selected these glasses on my wedding registry simply for their beautiful aesthetic. They have a very classic appeal, clean, and sophisticated. Only having seen them online, I did not realize how thin the lip of the glass was in contrast to how heavy the bottom was. I happen to like a weighted glass, but these are a bit disproportionately thin. So thin, that they continue to break unexpectedly in our dishwasher. It's very annoying. I started with 12, and now (after only 1 year) have only 10 and my husband and I work full time, rarely eating/drinking at home. It's not like these glasses are getting used much and for this reason, I do not recommend these glasses unless Crate and Barrel thickens the glass's lip/sides. Other than that, tey really are beautiful. If you plan on washing them by hand, being very careful to not push them up against each other in your cabinets, then by all means they are a beautiful glass. Definitely not for children - too fragile!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Sturdy Cocktail Glass The Direction Double Old-Fashioned Glass is one of my favorite cocktail glasses from Crate & Barrel. I am always getting the glasses as a house-warming or other gift for my friends and family. I mostly give this to my whiskey and bourbon-loving friends, but it would work well for any type of liquor that you drink neat or over ice. The glass is very sturdy, the thick base is easy to handle, and makes it hard to knock over. It is great to partner with whiskey rocks or the ice sphere molds.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice, heavy glasses with dramatic, thick bottom I have received multiple compliments on these glasses. They are quite substantial. The only downside is the little scoop in at the bottom/underside of the glass -- it is visually attractive, but in the dishwasher it fills with water.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect double old-fashioned glass Great weight, feels good in your hand and takes the entire cocktail experience to a new level. Look no further.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Heavy, great looks, what I wanted These are heavy and have the style I want without being too over-the-top. Quality pieces.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Glasses We have had these glasses for many years and I just bought a few more as replacements. The water glasses look great on a dinner table and the shorter ones are perfect for cocktails.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from beautiful cocktail glass, but easily chipped These are great glasses for cocktails, but after 2-3 uses we noticed that one of the glasses was already chipped. Definitely hand wash these

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome glasses :-) I bought my glasses a while back and I love them! They're very sturdy and look great. My friend would come over and always request to drink out of these glasses. Because he loved my glasses so much, I bought him some! He's a happy camper and so am I.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful Rocks Glasses! Love them! Elegant, beautiful, nice weight and ballast. Timeless!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Worst. Design. Idea. Ever. These are our "fancy" glasses not used everyday primarily because of that stupid bubble. The bubble gives it a nice appearance but cleaning is a nightmare. Even blowing into the bubble after removing from the DW does not get out all the sediment so you need one of those compressed air-in-a-can things to blow it clean. I guess one could hand wash, but water/soap would still settle there. Residue is visible when drinking through the bottom of the glass. Love the weight though.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from TOP QUALITY! I purchased these cocktail glasses as a Christmas gift for my daughter-in-law and she was thrilled! The base of the glass is nicely weighted and fits great in your hand! It reminds me of cocktail glasses my parents owned during the "Rat Pack" days!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice and heavy but small Happy with these glasses but they are smaller than our other double old fashion glasses. It fix a straight drink with a colossal ice cube but not enough room for a mixer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice solid whiskey glass My husband loves the weight and feel of using these as a whiskey glass

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible! I've only been using the highball glasses for 3 months and 9 out of 12 are already broken. This is not due to lack of care. The glass is very thin towards the top, so they chip VERY easily. Water also sits in the open bubble hole when I put them in the dishwasher. It's a pain to clean! I would NOT buy these again and will have to replace these with something better. It's too bad too because I liked the design and weight of the bottom.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Old Fashion Glass These are a great find. Very sophisticated, masculine, yet elegant. Bottom is heavily weighted and the glass feels good in your hand. Their price is very affordable for the high end design of these glasses. I can't wait to add more to my collection.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Hate the bubble Love the look and weight of these glasses but the bubble is not closed off so water and junk gets stuck inside and there is no way to clean! Tried everything, basically the bubble will always look gross, cloudy and full of dishwater junk!Save your money!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Grand! A very grand looking highball glass. Fabulous heft, beautiful glass, lovely detail.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Old Fashioned's are awesome We love the Old Fashion glasses in this set, along with the Pilsner. They are nice and heavy in the hand and feel like a 'mans' glass. Only wish there was a decanter to match!!! The highballs feel small comparatively to the other two types.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Swankiest Glassware The direction glasses provide a unique, entertaining spin on your classic scotch/whiskey glass. The floating 'dollop' frozen in crystal clear glass at the bottom of your drink is simple and creative, while adding a touch of lightness to this heavy, weighted glass. I originally bought four of the glasses as a birthday gift, and loved them so much that I bought my own set of four. The weight, fun bottom, and classy style of the glass make them a great addition to any drink bar or cocktail party.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love these! Got these as a wedding gift and they are beautiful! We only use them as bar glasses, not everyday, but they honestly make everything look better. We also handwash them so they don't collect water or food in the bubble.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from To Heavy and to Fragile Purchased 6 on-line, one came chipped at rim, overall glass looks nice but very bottom heavy and dosn't seem to hold 9oz although I have not measured them. Will be returning them as soon as I can get to a store

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great glasses These are great gin & tonic glasses! Arrive promptly and not disappointed! Cheers!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Maybe not for everyday, but they do look great I purchased the double old-fashioned and the highball glasses and will be going back for the beer glasses as well. I agree with other reviewers that the open bubble at the bottom is a pain to wash...but the glasses look so nice! My husband and I won't be using them everyday, but they're a great addition to our bar for when company comes over. They feel very expensive because they've got such a weight to them. And I discovered a cotton swab right after the glasses go through the dishwasher works wonders in drying out/cleaning out the bubble at the bottom!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Unique beer glasses We got a bunch of these (the pilsner glass) because we liked the bubble in the bottom, and thought it added a nice touch to the traditional beer glass.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A staple of our bar Have owned these (and the pilsners) for at least 10 years, and they are a staple of our bar. Wouldn't use them for everyday glassware (I've read complaints on the website from folks who've tried doing so), but they're perfect for gin and tonics, rocks margarita, scotch on the rocks, etc. They go in the dishwasher just fine. They collect water in the bubble, but with a few taps of the base on a towel before storing they're good. Once every couple of years I clean out the bubble with a Q-tip. We're about to move in to a house with a bigger kitchen, and I look forward to rounding out our collection with the highballs. Love these!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Rocks! Got for my husband's birthday and they are perfect. A little heavy and need to be hand-washed. Overall, they are attractive and fit the bill.
