Sturdy Comfortable Stylish-Fantastic!
We searched for 4 years for wood counterstools that were sturdy, durable, and looked beautiful. After having no luck finding an exact match for our natural cherry cabinets, we decided to go with a darker wood. The Honey Basque stools meet all requirements. They are very comfortable to sit in, even without cushions. They are stylish as well and have received compliments from everyone who has seen them/sit in them. Another excellent furniture purchase from C&B!

GREAT BARSTOOLS
We absolutely love our basque bar stools. They complimented the kitchen counter bar beautifully. They're comfortable (whether you're short or tall), durable and fabulous quality. Definitely worth every penny. We and our guests love sitting in them.

very sturdy, not comfortable unless you're TALLLLL
Like the chairs in this line, they are beautiful. They are more beautiful than the table, with a richer, more consistent color and a more even grain pattern. Nice, simple (almost boring) lines. They're also very sturdy. BUT they are not comfortable! The back is fine, but the seat is very large. So, unless you are particularly tall and have a large seat (to take advantage of the wider seat), the hard, crisp etch will dig into the back of your thigh, or you have to perch away from the seatback, and rest your feet on the rung (but then the lower edge of the seat will dig into your calf, while the back of your thigh still feels the edge of the seat). Or, you could get the seat cushions, but they're not very hip looking, nor do they reach over the edge so your seat is cushioned but the back of your leg is not.

Superb quality!
I just love my 30" dining chairs/barstools! i purchased the basque high dining table and matching chairs and the chairs are very comfortable. Made of quality mango wood in a rich dark honey colour, they are not light but have nice wide seats and a comfortable back rest.
I love how natural the wood looks!

Just Right
We looked for a counter-height barstool for a long time. We even purchased and returned a bunch. Most were just too uncomfortable to think about sitting in for any amount of time. Then we found the basque barstool at the new C&B in our town. They are fabulous. Good color, really comfortable, and solidly built - wide seat and thick wood construction. My one suggestion, double check that you have the width along your counter for the number of stools you think you want. The stools aren't massive, but they are generously proportioned.

Handsome stools
I have the basque dining table and chairs in addition to the stools. I bought the stools to use at our kitchen counter eating area. This height worked perfectly for us, and the stools are very comfortable. I also have the cushions. The mango wood looks great - the stools have a solid, sturdy feel, and the wood has a warm brown shade (reddish elements) with an interesting grain/character.
