Creating a Space for Friendship
Whenever I have our Basque table set (with Crate & Barrel flatware, dishes and linens!) , I snap a photo of it and send it to my inlaws. We were so lucky to get this table, five chairs and a bench as a wedding present from them 18 months ago. Since then, we've hosted dinners, book clubs, neighborhood potlucks and brunches, inviting our friends to gather 'round and share meals. The table is sturdy but not industrial, classic but not antique, elegant but not uncomfortable, warm but not too casual. It works with a variety of linens, setting styles and numbers. We are so happy to be making memories around it with our friends and, eventually, our family when they visit. I'm hoping my photos entice them!

Not a family table
This table is beautiful but a soft wood. We had the table 2 weeks before a large scratch appeared & writing on paper for homework marked into the wood. We now have a large acrylic sheet cut to order on the table so that we can still see the wood. We always use wooden placemats when dining as I fear any heat would leave marks. Before the acrylic we always had a cloth on the table which was upsetting as why buy a gorgeous table only to keep it covered. Our children are 8 but would recommend for a household with late teens or only adults due to the softness of the wood.

So pleased
The Basque Homey dining table and 6 chairs we purchased are perfect in our new apartment. Its the center of our home and will be used often as dining table, office space and social center of our home. Loved the farmhouse detail which worked well with the Industrial Chic vibe we wanted for our loft.

Solid piece of furniture
We bought this a few months ago and are very pleased with it. The honey is a very pretty color and the construction is solid. The 82" will seat 8 comfortably. We haven't used it much yet but have noticed it seems pretty sensitive to scratching. You'll definitely need a tablecloth or placemats if you plan to use daily, unless you prefer the more "rustic" look. The only negative is that we are still looking for chairs to go with it--not a fan of the matching Basque chairs or the other choices available through C&B, so we're still on the hunt.

LOVE this beautiful, classic table!
My husband and I bought this table with the bench and absolutely LOVE it! It is able to bridge the gap between rustic and classic decor and looks beautiful. We have it set up with the bench on one side and 3 parsons chairs on the other side and 2 parsons chairs at each end. This helps the table look classic yet rustic. We used our wedding money to buy this table after looking at it throughout our engagement and are so glad we did!

Beautiful color and grain
We spent years looking for the right dining table and chairs to replace our 23-year-old set -- wanted enough space for 8, leg clearance for my 6'4" husband, rich color and interesting wood grain, simple yet elegant design, and something that we would want to keep for a long time. Basque was it! And we accented our set with 2 chairs in java to coordinate with an antique bread box table. We just love it!

Too narrow
I fell in love with the giant 104" Basque table years ago and really wanted one, but had no where it would fit. We finally got a big house and so the table was top of my list. But - the dining room was a close call for whether the big table would fit and my son talked me into getting this one to be safe. I am disappointed in the width of the 82" table - it is only 38" wide - and even though this table is only about 2 feet shorter than the big one, the narrow size of the table makes it seem much smaller. I still love the table, but I wish I would have bought the bigger one.

Love it
This is a solid absolutely beautiful table. I bought this table for my daughter as a gift for her new home. It is solid and will last a lifetime. Great quality and looks super in her family dining area.

Elegant Entertaining
Could not be happier with my 82" Basque Dining Table. The natural variations in the wood, with knotholes to boot are subtle yet stunning. Very solid table. Still getting set up in my new place, but can't wait until I can have my first gathering to show it off.

It has been 2 years
It is has been exactly two years since I received this table. I love it and it has maintained its beauty. I would like to address the scratching. At first I was so disappointed because it did seem to scratch easily. But the scratches fade very fast and I do not see them after a few days. If a scratch seems deep I just use some wax on the surface and then it fades with time.
This table is a must buy.

Gorgeous table!!
I received my 82 inch honey basque table today and am in love with it! It is a heavy sturdy table with rustic, smooth lines. Plenty big enough for my family of five. I paired it with black windsor chairs for a farm look and love it!

Not a practical table- Scratches too easily
I bought the 104 inch table. This table looks very impressive, but as far as practical use, no way. My son was just playing with plastic toys, and the toys scratched the table! If you are looking for a family table, do not waste your time looking at this table, I wasted too much time, and money.....very, very disappointed with the quality. Who wants to cover a table with mats or tablecloth every time you want to use it?

Beautiful!
This table has some of the most beautiful details and characteristics in the wood. The overall look is simple yet elegant so therefore it will stand the test of time. I love that it is solid wood yet eco-friendly. The amazing look of the wood grains and smooth finish give this piece a great look. It is a very sturdy piece and I know it will last me forever. I am very proud to own this table. It was the best choice for me. I also own the matching chairs. It really stands out in my brand new home and adds a lot to the overall look and feel of my home. I have received a ton of compliments on it and would encourage anyone to purchase it! And one last thing - Crate and Barrel has the best customer service ever!

We Love This Table
My husband and I looked a long time before deciding to purchase this table and chairs. It fits the style of our bungalow home beautifully. Its the perfect combo of modern and rustic. We've had it now about three months and its very durable. It's obvious that the table and chairs are very solid. The delivery went smoothly. No complaints. Love it.
