Love it!
We purchased the Basque Honey large buffet/hutch and also the matching table, bench and chairs. We looked at the set for a few months and made the purchase when we moved into a new home and received a 10% off coupon for C and B. We are very happy with the items! The only negative is that the buffet seems to be much darker than the other pieces. I thought the Java color had been delivered incorrectly so the company quickly sent a replacement, but even the second buffet is bit darker than I would like.

craftsmanship galore!
We are the type to "wait" until we find just the right piece for our home and so spent 2 years w/o a dining suite for our open concept home. This set caught my eye the moment I saw it in the catalog and I went right down to the store and bought it!
The biggest thrill was when I looked the pieces over (we bought the lg buffet, lg table, lg bench, and 5 chairs) the craftsmanship sold me. The joints of the hutch especially are very tight and the mango wood is gorgeous! The glass door latches are hearty and the front detail is like nothing I've seen. I keep all my stem-ware in it so the glass doors get a real workout and after 2 years they still work great. The lg buffet is generous and keeps all my sets of dishes in the lower cabinets easily. The inside shelves are generous is thickness and are built right in so they are very very strong and sturdy.
The table is huge. My book club loves to meet at my house so we can really spread out and have all our treats and tea in the middle. I easily fit 10 people with elbow room and 12 with no trouble. Love the long bench because we can even get more if we put all the kids there!
The chairs are heavy and very sturdy. the seat is roomy and deep but not uncomfortable for my 5 foot mother in law.
We had a cabinetmaker come in to do our kitchen and as he was running his hand all over the buffet, telling me it was a "beautiful piece" he asked who "made" it :)
Literally every person that comes into our home and sees the set for the first time is taken by it's beauty.

Beautiful Buffet
I had my eye on this piece for over a year. One day shopping at Crate & Barrel for a TV cabinet, the large buffet was on display. My husband took a good look at it and we ended up ordering both the large buffet and table to go with it. Absolutely love the craftmenship of this piece and the storage. Happy to say we get many compliments on this.

great looking hutch
We have this Basque buffet/hutch as part of the Basque dining set. I can't tell you how many compliments we get about our C&B Basque dining room set. It's a simple design but looks great and just goes with everything. We can dress it up for fancy dinners or make it casual for everyday. I also like that you can hang wreaths on the hutch for the holiday season or spring wreaths for the spring time which also dresses it up! It has survived a family with four kids and two dogs! So, it's durable too!

SO beautiful!
This is the piece that sold me on the whole Basque set. I was looking for something solid, no veneers, and classic but contemporary style.
Once I saw this piece, I couldn't get it out of my head! I love the large doors on the bottom with so much storage. The shelving height is great for just about anything. Even down to the details of the closures. I feel like I bought this piece from the Amish Country!
Can say enough how much I love this piece and am so glad I purchased it.

Solid sophistication
This is a statement piece. The large hutch allows you to display your china and crystal, or anything else, in a beautiful way while still feeling a rustic charm. The buffet is great for storing things you'd rather keep hidden. We like this piece so much we want to get an extra buffet when we have a larger house that can fit it all.

Quite Pleased
This fit the space in our dining room/kitchen perfectly. We have an odd cut-out in the wall that required a china cabinet and this measured up the best. It was shipped in a timely fashion and arrived at the time they said it would. One of the latches is slightly loose but not a reason to complain. Also, the color is a tad darker than I'd imagined but with a coordinating rug, it will tie together nicely with our slightly lighter table. This is a piece we will keep for a long time - may even invest in the table/chairs someday.

LOVE IT
I was looking for months for a REAL Wood china cabinet without a lot of glass, didn't want to have to Windex all the time, well...here it is.
This is a wonderful set. Reminds me of the Williamburg style. It really set off my dining room

Beautiful and Functional
When I came across this buffet/hutch in the catalogue, I knew that I had to see it in person. Once I saw it at the Pasadena, CA store, it took me all of about two seconds to decide that I had to have it. The shelf spacing in the hutch is perfect for displaying all of my fine china and crystal and the spacing in the buffet is wonderful for storage of miscellaneous items and bottles of alcohol. I receive positive compliments from everyone. One of the best pieces of furniture that I have ever purchased!

Favorite Piece of Furniture in our house
I thought about this purchase for a LONG time before making it. I'm so glad we went with this hutch. It is beautiful and simple and sturdy. I really enjoy it every day. We store a lot of dishes in it for display and use the lower part for linens (but you could hide anything in that part -lots of space). I think the price is reasonable for what you get.

Great craftsmanship
This completed our set. We love it with the large glass inserts in the doors. So solid and heavy. Looks like we shipped it in from Europe.

a great foundation to grow with your style
I like how simple this buffet looks. I can honestly say that as my husband and I taste change through the years this piece will a constant piece of furniture in our house. We fit a ton of storage in the hutch and cabinets. Our house has limited storage so this piece was perfect for our place. Sometimes we get lazy and only use the latch at the top or bottom.

Roomy, stylish, classic
This hutch is a great place to display and store our dishes and glassware. I like that the shelves are very sturdy, unlike other hutches my husband and I looked at. No danger of falling shelves here (that actually happened to my in-laws, and it was very sad). We had a problem with one of the doors warping several months after purchase, and C&B replaced it with a new one right away. Great service!
