Great Purchase
My husband and I love the mango wood. The color shape of the table make it look amazing and functional. Worth the amount we paid for the table and everyone always says how much they love the shape of the chairs.

this table is awful
We bought this table in March 2011. It is an awful table. Hot and cold both leave white marks (that eventually fade) and it scratches like crazy. It also shows finger prints that are really hard to remove. Completely unhappy with this purchase.

This table is beautiful and very well made. It also seems durable and stands up well to our two boys.

Great table for a family
This table has it all - looks, size and durability. I wanted a table to sit 8 for meals in the ktichen and this is the perfect size! I love that the top is planked and can stand the wear and tear of a young family. The C&B store manager shared her own experience with the table; it was a great testamonial. I opted for the Java color due to the black granite in my kitchen. Howwever, I think the Honey shows the wood grain a bit better.

Just what we were looking for
This is a beautiful table! We are very happy with it. Be aware of the warning that each table will have unique imperfections. Ours has some chipping in the wood (from manufacturing) that is visible under the finish. It's noticeable, but does not distract from the beauty of the table.

The Gathering table!
We purchased this table a little while ago with 4 matching chairs and the bench. It is a wonderful table and "gathering place" for 2, 4 or we fit 8 around it sometimes when kids come home from college. It has become the staple of our home. I also love it because of the solid wood top where spills or flour from baking doesnt form in cracks like some tables! Very sturdy ellegant or casual.

Very sturdy and great finish!
Love the sturdiness, rich java finish, natural grains and the fact that it’s made of wood! Our style is a blend of modern and classic look and i think it goes really well with both! It really looks very nice with the modern dining chairs that we've got...

Love this Table!!
This table has been a favorite for years! Initially bought the 64" and loved it. When we moved into a new home with a larger dining room, we immediately bought the larger one and are thrilled to be able to seat 8 or more for family dinners. Everyone comments on our great table, and we love how tough and rustic it is. The table serves as the center of our home and we never worry about dings and scratches since they just add to the character.

Great table
This table has a great dark color and a substantial weight to it. It is durable and easy to clean. I have fit 8 chairs comfortably around it. I have a Mexican styled house, blended with craftsman styled furniture and it fits in well. I have saltillo tile with dark grout and it looks amazing. I have received several compliments from visitors. I wish that it had a leaf, so it could be made a b it more intimate for a 4 person setting.

Dissapointing
I purchased this table recently after sifting through all of the basque reviews, and thought I made a good choice for a farmhouse style table. Unfortunately, when we received the table I felt vastly dissapointed. This is NOT a farmhouse/shaker style table. The java stain on the table is ridiculously dark. The table looks sickeningly black most of the time- this means you cant see the lovely pattern of the planks showcased in the website pics. Because it's so dark, it gives the table a slick contemporary feel that i was NOT going for.
Also, the table arrived with wax streaks and also a 5 inch superficial crack in the surface. There clearly is not any quality control going on, to allow a product so costly to be shipped with these defects. I almost called CB the same day it was delivered, but it was already such a hassle to arrange the delivery that I just used my wood-stain marker instead to hide the defect.
Uggghh. It is just awful to have such anticipation for a desired product ( I even got my family to give me gift cards for xmas) and then to be disappointed in this manner in the end.

Beautiful Table. Handsome Finish!!
I bought the Basque Java dining table and love it. I decided to use this table in my kitchen situated in the breakfast nook. This table has been perfect so far. The wax finish gives it a nice protection and if in anytime I notice its brilliance dwindling I just rub on some paste/bees wax as recommended by the sales person and it looks as new again. I have been looking at this table for a while now and read some of the reviews but I haven't had any issues with it at all. If scratching occurs I use a dark staining marker to fill in; it works like a charm.
I love the rustic characteristics of this table and the fact that it is solid wood makes me even happier. Being able to notice the knots and grains is good because this table gets a lot of use. Anymore dents it receives just looks like its part of its charm, which I love. It is so versatile it can work both in a contemporary setting or even a more traditional one. Perfect if you have kids because maintenance is easy, as I already mentioned.
