Rustic and modern unite using reclaimed Peroba wood with refined mahogany in a unique design. Seguro has an ebony-stained mahogany frame and a warm mosaic of planed peroba wood in a natural palette of amber, chocolate and fiery tones. Three central drawers are recessed to allow passage for the sliding doors, which conceal four adjustable shelves. Slender mahogany bar pulls on doors and drawers keep ornamentation to a minimum. Designed for media management, this versatile piece functions equally well as a sideboard or buffet. Each piece is unique.

great cabinet for my den
A very sturdy and well made item. This piece fit perfectly on my media wall and has plenty of storage with shelves for electronics and drawers for dvd's and cd's. The large top surface allows ample room for the flat screen with space for decorative items.
Looked and looked for the right unit... finally found it!Very happy with this purchase !

Beautiful
A very beautiful piece of furniture. The reclaimed wood is a very nice look, and "goes with" mix&match other types of wood furniture in a room. I purchased to replace a taller, pocket door, and glass-front media cabinet. This Seguro media console's sliding doors are much easier (and quieter) to open/close than pocket doors - also easier to clean. Yes, you need to slide a door open in order for standard remotes to work with your DVR/cable box, but I think it's much better (a cleaner look) than a glass-front cabinet. The delivery team made sure that all doors and drawers opened/closed smoothly so I wouldn't have to do any setup or adjustments myself.

Love it!
I saw this media console in a store and fell in love with it! The size is perfect and I love the wood face of it set off by the black top. Lots of room for storage.

great purchase
we had seen the seguro media console at the crate & barrel store for months, always commenting that we liked the reclaimed wood. finally decided there was nothing better out there for the price and purchased the console in november. as always our local customer service rep was very helpful, however the console was on backorder for nearly 2 months (seems like most crate & barrel furniture items are on backorder). as soon as it was delivered we loved it. we've received many compliments on the piece, and it's definitely the highlight of our living room. one downside would be the opening and closing of the doors when you want to watch tv or movie. we resolved this issue by getting an infrared remote so we no longer have to slide open the doors.

Great Media Console - Probably Not Kid Friendly
My husband and I mounted our TV above the fireplace, so we wanted a media console that didn't look like one. We loved this design because it would hold all of our components and DVDs and had doors to hide them all away.
We're very happy with the purchase, but here are a few things to consider before making the purchase:
1. The drawers look like they'd be deep enough to fit two rows of DVDs. It falls a bit short, so we do one row perpendicular to the other. The drawers also don't pull out all the way so the row in back is difficult to get out. If you're like us, you have movies you rarely watch, so those go in the back.
2. This unit probably isn't kid friendly. In order for the drawers to open the doors have to be pushed all the way to the sides. There's little room for error and I've found a few times where the door was cracked open an inch and the drawer bangs into it. I can see kids trying to open the drawers and banging into the doors (probably repeatedly). ha!
3. Since the unit is closed off, we're worried about the heat for the components. So far we haven't had any problems.
4. Read the care instructions before purchase. There were some unexpected items (like not placing in direct light) that may affect some buyers.
The piece makes a very stylish addition to our living room and we're really please with the look.

This is an awesome media console. It has tons of storage & great lines. It adds a great rustic quality to our beach house. We are so happy with our purchase.

Just what I needed
I absolutely love this piece. I searched for months for a console that looked modern but would also look at home in our 1880's farmhouse.
This has tons of closed storage to hide/organize the clutter.
It's true you have to leave the door ajar for the remote to work on the satellite boX and it could also use improved ventalization for the equipment but it's a small price to pay for how great it looks and how functional it is!

Not a compromise at all!
My husband and I have been trying to slowly replace the furniture we came to the marriage with, with nicer pieces we pick out together. The trouple is he like very classic, dark, bulkt furniture, and I like a smaller scare, stramlined, lighter look. The Seguro was the only piece we could both agree to for our den and it doesn't feel like a compromise at all. It is beautiful, the wood is rich and unique - it's solid as can be and gets my husband's beloved tv at just the right height. It offers a ton of storage and keeps the electronic behind doors when not in use. Crate and Barrel delivery was amazing - so much better than other furniture delivery services. If you're thinking about the Seguro, don't - just buy it!

Beautiful Console
I purchased this media console just over a year ago and it has been a great addition to our home. During family gatherings and parties, it is always a topic of discussion and many compliments. Its offers a great amount of storage for all the home theater components we have as well as plenty of storage and space for media as well. I was reluctant to make the purchase at first as I couldn't find it on display in any location in Southern California, but I decided to go with it anyways and couldn't be happier with it.

Looks great!
I bought this item to use as a bookshelf on a wall with windows on the upper half. It looks fantastic! It stands out next to the more contemporary furniture pieces without looking "wrong." The wood is gorgeous and easy to care for. It holds a ton of books and nicknacks that I don't necessarily want on display. A beautiful and versitile piece of furniture!!

beautiful piece!
This is a beautiful and versatile piece of furniture. We are using it in family room to add a modern touch to a traditional style home. It complements our other furniture beautifully, as the wood tones along with the rustic feel make it very versatile. It is a little darker than the online photo portrays, but still a georgeous piece. Wonderful craftsmanship!
The only problem I had was that one of the sliding doors are tilted a little, but just one call to C&B and we have a replacement piece on its way.

Rustic-Modern Style - Great Piece!
This media console was the inspiration for our whole living room - mid-century modern with an organic twist. The quality is really nice (though I wish the 3 drawers in the middle were on gliders - they're stiff and challenging to open). Other than that, it's a beautiful piece that really makes a great style statement. I'd definitely recommend it to other people!

Love it!
I had been looking at this console on line for quite some time before I decided to purchase it. I wasn't sure how it would look in my home. Well, I bought and am delighted. It looks even better in person than in the pictures. Not only does it look great, but it also holds a ton for storage. And it is very well made. I am very happy with my decision.

tip on sliding door issue
The piece is well made and attractive and pretty much as advertised.
Other reviewers have noted the problem with the sliding door. We had the same issue and our delivery guys didn't know how to solve the problem. Here's what you do: Look at the back side of the doors. On the bottom edge, you'll see two small panels with screws. Next to the screws is a graphic that says "up down." You will see that if you turn the screw with a phillips head screwdriver, the white plastic casters on the bottom edge will move up or down depending on how you turn the screw. Turn the screw to adjust the casters to the height necessary to keep the door in the top slide track.
Also note that the white plastic caster should not move unless you turn the screw. The first unit that Crate and Barrel delivered to our house had one broken caster - it was loose and turning the screw did not have any effect on it.
Otherwise, a very nice product, though do note that if you are the kind of person who can't stand the sight of dust, a shiny black piece of furniture is probably not for you.

From Contemporary to Rustic
Bought this beautiful piece to make a visual statement in the living room of my contemporary urban condo. It holds my flat screen TV on top and A/V components inside, and looks great doing it. Soon it will move to my rustic-style home in the high desert, and it will be perfect there too. This is a great example of the sort of versatile furniture available from Crate & Barrel.

Beautiful Piece!!
I am so in love with this amazing piece of furniture. The wood is just lovely and it's very functional. It looks great in our living room and there is tons of storage. We haven't had any problems with opening and closing the doors. Set up was a breeze. We were lucky enough to get ours as a floor sample, although I would have paid full price for this. It's just beautiful.

Wonderful piece!
Very beautiful piece. I used this piece in the living room as a tv stand and it is beautiful. Very good quality with a good amount of storage space. Unlike in some other reviews I do not have the problem with the sliding doors hitting the door handles in the middle. There are little wheels on the slide doors which you can regulate up or down so that you get a good fit and the doors do not whobble. You do not need to hold the doors forward because they stay right on the track.This is a wonderful piece and is worth every penny!
