Not the best construction
A nod to sustainable materials with a simple elegant looking design. But just does not live up to the hype. Soy based padding still contains polyurethane foam that emits chemical gas. Poor construction relies on use of staples. Seams of fabric are just folded over once and glued to each other. The floor model had glue cracking and seams gapping the entire length of the fabric headboard. The chrome nail heads were large and clunky looking in person not very charming or comfortable to lean against and the headboard is too low to support my head. Floor model legs were chipped and mahogany finish was flaking off. This $2000 bed is maybe $500 in materials and labor. Will shop elsewhere for truly sustainable and well made furniture hopefully made in the U.S.

Looks nice, but smells terrible
When the bed first came in, I thought it looked really neat. However, the bed creates strong acid smell from its wood slats which irritates my eyes. I was wondering if the wood slats were treated with some kind of VOC. It was made in the USA, I am so disappointed and wanted to get rid of the bed, but I guess I am stuck with it!

Question about Colette Bed
I LOVE the looks of this bed and it has been on our wish list for quite some time now. My husband and I are going to purchase a tempurpedic bed and I'd like to know if this bed can accommodate that type of mattress. I know the bed has slats and I don't know if that is supportive enough for the foam beds. I'd love to hear from someone who has a tempurpedic. Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Question about mattress thickness
What is the maximum thickness that your mattress can be for this bed? I plan to put Euro shams on the bed and want to make sure they will not be higher than the arch at the top. I have an existing mattress I bought 2 years ago with a boxspring that I would like to use for this bed. If I can't use the boxspring, I will plan to buy the board and use my own mattress if the size is right. Thanks for your help.

best purchase ever
we were moving and married over 30 years and decided time for a new bed. the colette bed is so sophisticated and elegant and such a timeless piece! i kept an old dresser and added a new end table and the room looks amazing! every time i walk into my bedroom and see my bed, i smile. it is the focal point of the room. thanks crate and barrel!

Colette bed
Fabulous bed, an eye catcher for any room! The nail studs are great accessory. I have not had any issues with fabric or mattress. Added bonus is the staff @ Crate and Barrell were great with advice! Definite yes to this product!

Beautiful, but the fabric "pills"
We absolutely love the bed. Gorgeous design, simple and beautiful in the Albaster. My only disappointment is that the fabric on the baseboard has started to pill.
We have a labrador who bumps into the beds and lays on/underneath it. The vaccuum brush has been used on the baseboard once, and then a dry cloth/Swifter to remove any dog hair.
Tthe fabric does pill into small balls along the base. It takes away the streamlined looked. We have only had the baseboard for 3 months in a weekend home, (only stayed in it 12 weekends or so.. 30-40 days).
I would still consider buying it again. We really loe the look, but I just have to find a way to keep clean without pilling.

gorgeous bed
I've been thinking about buying the Colette chair, since I bought this bed 5 yrs ago. I love it, and over the years 2 interior designers and an architect/friend all immediately reacted with comments like - what a beautiful bed! Where did you get it? Hah - I did not have to go to a design showroom to get this, and spend excess $$ for good design. I sleep great in it, and as a matter of fact, it's time now for me to go to sleep in my gorgeous bed.

Excellent
This bed looks great and is very well made. We've seen some imitations, but none with the craftsmanship, fabric, curvature/look as good as this one. It is a little pricey, but you do get what you pay for. The delivery guys were great in putting the bed together. We're very happy with the bed.

Lovely bed
We just got our bed this week and just love it!!!! It is so pretty and very sterdy. Very happy with the quality of this bed. I read someone had a problem with mattress support but I think they maybe had a bad mattress becuase it is perfectly supportive.

modern elegance
My husband and I bought this bed after looking at many for several months. It's a great starting point for decorating our master bedroom.
The headboard is great to lean back on and read. The mattress support is wonderful. Overall, the quality is awesome and the look is even better.

My favorite thing
I love, love, love my new bed. Although pricey, it was still cheaper than alot of similar styles from other stores. The quality and workmanship is top knotch. Believe me I am a stickler for quality and don't mind paying the price for it. This bed wows everyone and they can't believe the price. My sister loved it so much she ordered the same exact one.
Stop looking at it and buy it! You won't be disappointed.

elegant and comfortable
We've had this bed for more than 2 years and it has survived a move - it is still absolutely gorgeous. It has great mattress support, a nice headboard for reading in bed and it goes with any bedroom decor. Love it.

Elegant
I saw the design of this bed & fell in love with the soft line of the headboard, in combination with the platform.
It's traditional, yet modern; feminine, yet not too much because of the nailheads around trim of the headboard.
I will definitely have this bed for many years to come~

Great bed, great purchase
My husband and I love this bed! It is comfortable and it makes our bedroom look so much cozier. Remember if you have a mattress with a lot of coils to order the flat plank that goes under the mattress.

Support Problems for Mattress
This bed only accommodates a mattress, so no boxspring can be used. That's what I wanted, however, the slats are few and far between and will not support a mattress on it's own. I had to have a lot of extra slats made on my own to support the mattress. I spoke with several mattress sales people who told me the bed as it was would absolutely void any mattress warranty because there was no support underneath.

Classic glamour
I love this bed! It is classic, tailored, and glamorous. The fabric is stain resistant and durable. I got a stain on it, and it came out with little effort. I also love the large, nail head border. This bed is a statement piece and looks very expensive. MUST BUY!
