Poor Quality Fabric
I've had this sofa for less than four months, & the fabric is already starting to pill horribly, even though I regularly flip the cushions & take good care of it. It's possible to go over it with a sweater stone & get rid of the worst of it, but the fabric won't last for more than a couple years at this rate. It's a shame, because I love the shape, color (I have it in taupe) & price. Avoid this piece if you will be using it on a daily basis or are looking for a sofa to last you a long time.

Great Affordable Sofa
We bought this sofa because it was a good size for our smallish living room. It seemed well made and had a good contemporary look. There was a problem with the fabric on the first one they delivered, but Crate and Barrel was great about getting it replaced right away. No problems with the second one.

Great apartment couch
I bought this couch about a month ago, and it really fit into my apartment decor well. I like the low profile because it leaves the room feeling open, and it doesn't look too bulky in my small space. I like the couch, but wish it was stocked in the grey color.

bad cushions
We purchased two silhouette sofas and have had them for 2 months. Everytime you sit on the cushions they wrinkle and crease the material. We even paid extra for the upscale fabric and paid over $2000 for each. I have written to C&B and are waiting to see what they will do. Sales staff are great and we love the sofa but the cushions we tried in the show room are not what is delivered. Big disappointment.

Fabric on cushions pills badly.
I love the color and style of this couch, but the fabric on the seat cushions pills like a cheap sweater. Really unsatisfied with it. The only way I can get it to look good is if I shave it down with a "de-piller." I just got this 6 months ago. Bummer.

Disappointed with fabric and cushions
I bought this sofa because my previous sofa was very small and I was about to have a baby. We selected the graphite fabric and had it stain treated since we knew we were about to have a little baby and thought this was a practical choice.
Apparently the stain treatment made the fabric pill, and so, only months after receiving it we were covering the seat cushions with a blanket.
Shortly thereafter we also realize the cushions were just not supportive. The cushions flattened out after sitting on them for just a short while and I had to continually flip them.
This would be a perfect couch for a formal sitting area that is not used very often.

cushions are not firm
I ordered the sofa in taupe. I am pleased with the style and the color, however, the cushions are not firm enough. I like a sofa that's firm and give you support when you sit down instead of sinking into it. I spent a long time trying it in the store and was pleased with the firmness of Silhouette. The sofa that came did not have the same firmness. I had one replacement and not much improvement. I had to have the cushions replaced again and settled for them. The cushions have no support. Definitely not the same quality as the floor sample. It will probably be worse after being used in a couple of years.

Awesome sofa
After my last sofa purchase where I settled for something I didn't love, I was determined to make the right choice this time. I saw this sofa right away and fell in love with it, but I checked every store I could think of that would sell sofas to make sure I would choose the right one. Always came back to the Silhouette. Now that it's in my house, I couldn't be happier. Super comfortable and it looks gorgeous.

Love the style
I purchased this sofa after going back and forth between this and the Hennessy sofa. Really happy with the decision I made. I went with the Silhouette in taupe and haven't looked back. It was a big deal for me because it was my first sofa purchase EVER for my first place....EVER! In the store the stock Ceylon color is on display and I ordered it in that color originally, but I didn't schedule a shipping date at the time. Something was telling me to wait. In the end I felt like I would just get tired of looking at that color everyday and it didn't really work for what I wanted to do. That sale team was fantastic. Not pushy and knowledgeable. I'm in sales too, so that was important to me. The one thing I will say is that the cushions on display at the store are not what you will get. I cant tell you how many times I visited the store for this exact reason. At the the store they have some kind of memory foam in the cushions or something. They pop back. They are not as bad as some people say, but I was definitely disappointed with that. Style and price though...cant beat it.

Stylish Comfort
I purchased this sofa five months ago, and am delighted with my decision. The scale is perfect for an older home, and the cushions and camel-back design give the firm support I love. The fabric is an excellent neutral, which is easy to 'dress up' with seasonal pillows and throws.

Beautiful, but beware of pilling fabric
We bought two Silhouette sofas last year with the stock fabric in Maya, the acid green color. Despite the fact that my husband and I regularly flip the cushions, the fabric pilling is so dramatic that the local store is replacing the cushion covers. While this is at no cost to us and we have the option of moving these to our fomal living room, where they can be lovely and not used, we were told that the fabric cannot withstand regular usage. So buyer beware- if you sit on these often, the fabric will pill. If you have the luxury of putting them in a seldom used area, they are beautiful and comfortable. My attached photos show the described pilling on the original cushion covers.

Recommended, with qualifications
We've had this couch for 4 months. It's a lovely silhouette - aptly named. The construction is not perfect, fair warning to perfectionists, just a little unevenness, nothing drastic. My husband likes to plop down on couches, hard I might add - sometimes I worry about the sofa's longevity if he keeps that up, as I hear him hit the frame when he does that. It's comfortable enough for me to nap on, though not as comfortable as our plush mattress, so I don't nap on the sofa often. I love that I don't have to constantly fluff the back cushions, as it's a tight back sofa. I was hesitant at first because of the wide arms, which would prevent my husband from fully reclined naps that would be otherwise possible in sofas with a similar footprint. Turns out that he prefers to lean against the arm with his legs up on the seat - perfect for when he's working on his laptop - so it's not really a design flaw for us after all. We haven't experienced any pilling, but I often cover the seat with a throw if I'm having a glass of wine on the sofa, as the material has finicky cleaning instructions and we opted for the light "mist" color. All in all, I'm glad we chose this sofa, despite not being perfect in all respects. It suits us and our small apartment quite well.

Beware!
This is a beautiful looking sofa, but beware of the stock fabric. It is not very good quality. I have had this sofa for a little over 2 months and while the color (ceylon), shape and size are perfect....the fabric is already worn and pilled along the front edge of the cushion. Flipping regularly does not help. If you can spend the money and upgrade to a better fabric then this sofa is great. But otherwise I would stay away!

Low quality all around
I have to say that when I first received this sofa I was already a little disappointed that the frame and curve of the back wasn't perfectly smooth, but I decided to let it go (I tend to be a perfectionist). However it has been one year and the fabric has not been holding up at all. It is pilling something fierce. The cushions are also lopsided and have little back support, neither my husband or I are comfortable on this couch. We wish we had gone for a higher quality couch.

poor quality cushions
Fell for this in the store, and purchased the matching chair and ottoman. Cushions arrived "lumpy" & uneven. If you sit on it for more than 5 minutes the cushions end up squashed and out of shape. Concerned this will only get worse over time. Good price but not value, be careful.

Not great
I've had this sofa for less than two months, and the cushions already look and feel old. I flip them weekly. Also, the cleaning restrictions are ridiculous. You literally cannot even get water on the upholstery. ONLY professional cleaning, even spot cleaning. Do not buy this.

nice style but poor cushions
We really liked the look and feel of this sofa so we bought two of them for our new home about 6 months ago. The sofa looks great and we love the style of the high rolled arm but the quality of the cushions that you sit on really lowers our rating. For lack of a better word the cushions are mushy and have deformed quickly. If you sit in the middle of the sofa the cushions literally smoosh flat and it makes sitting on it uncomfortable. Also the stitching on one of the cushions has come apart and the fabric is pilling slightly.

love it!
I ordered the Cameron sofa in almond initially for a french cottage/rustic room in my home. After my purchase, I went in to the store to see it (stupid I know, should have gone first). I did not like the feel of the fabric and the sofa looked large and cumbersome. I fell in LOVE with the silhouette and even more in love with the price! The maya taupe color is a rich neutral that fits right in with my blues and jute rug. Its comfortable and lets you accessorize with your own throw pillows. I would recommend to anyone! Delivery was a snap and right on time, super fast for the stock color :) I'm loving C&B and got my sofa during their sale. I read that the fabric is sensitive to water, but I tested the swatch and saw no discoloration. Hopefully my sofa will have the same result if spilled on!
