Rated 2 out of 5 by from Bought 2--Love one of them! The second one has never worked more than a few seconds on either salt or pepper. Just grrrr grrrr then stop.A few grains came out. We have replaced the batteries twice, fiddled with the thing, etc and to no avail. It has been in a second home so we have hardly tried to use it and just finally realized the thing is a dud. The other one we use every day and love it. Just keep your proof of purchase and return it within 90 days.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Only lasted a year Worked great for a year, now the salt doesn't grind and pepper only works half the time. Also, a couple of times the bottom dropped of the mill into a pot or pan. Super annoying.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great while it lasted... I was excited to receive this electric salt/pepper mill! It's fairly easy to fill. The salt and pepper really last a long time in the mill. It does take 6 AAA batteries. After a year of use, I took it apart and cleaned the unit carefully. I filled the container with fresh salt and pepper and new batteries. When I went to test the unit, only the salt side worked! I switched the batteries around; went over the unit to make sure everything was placed properly, but the pepper side would not work! I have had to replace this unit with a new design electric mill. I would have expected this unit to last a lot longer!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible product I had to return two times and it still stopped working after 3 days. Switched batteries several times. The first one was a disaster because the bottom part fell off during use.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from battery operated salt and pepper grinder. I bought it. And it fell apart in my hands before I could use it. It is cheaply made. The top is not properly secured to the base and can fall off like mine did.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Good Idea poor design I seemed nice to have an all in one salt and pepper grinder. Only had it for 1 day and used for 2 minutes off and on. Just fit hand somewhat well, but mostly the top push level is in an awkward position and feels cheap. Very low capacity for S/P and final straw, when top portion fell off for no reason, spilling S/P all over the floor. There is no interlock to hold it down. Returned!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Like the idea BUT I received this as a gift and love the idea and looks however when holding the top black part the bottom falls off and all the salt & pepper plus the clear bottom fall in my food. Don't have the receipt or it would be returned.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Like the concept Have had it for 3-4 years and it works great yet. One handed and both salt and pepper in one grinder. Recommend using only black peppercorns as the multi colored peppercorns seem to gum it up. To fill it, be sure to lift the top straight up, I think some have tried to twist it and may have loosen the grip and why you see reviews below that say the top falls off without warning.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from stopped working We have had this less than a year, first use was last Thanksgiving. used it off and on not every day, This spring I noticed it was not working, thought it needed new batteries, took the batteries out, just replaced them today. ( now that we are home again and not at the cottage) and with brand new batteries. Nothing…disappointed!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Electric salt and pepper mill We have had this pepper mill for a few months now, and we love it! No need for 2 items on the table. The only thing we have found is that it tends to lose a little salt on the bottom. No big thing, you just have to wipe it up after each use. Other than that it is great!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from base falls out a lot This is great to have both in 1 mill but not designed well. It needs 6 AAA batteries 1st off, not included. Secondly, it is heavy and when holding it by the upper black portion (like when seasoning food) the bottom can fall out spilling salt & pepper everywhere and the batteries pop out too. It is very annoying to salvage the dish and also clean. I should return it to see if mine is the only one.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Design Flaw or Bad Luck? It worked great and we used it all the time...but the top black portion would occasionally (at the worst times) separate from the lower (clear) base. When this happened, it would spill the salt, pepper (...and batteries) into whatever we were cooking. The nubs that that fit into the dents seem to be just too small. However, as I seem to be the only one with this problem, I'm going to get a new one and give it another try (I know, "fool me once...")

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very disappointed I just bought one in Chicago yesterday. Got home today and when I went to put batteries in it there were already a set in there and they were corroded as can be.Really unhappy, as I threw my receipt away as soon as we got back to our hotel room
