Beautiful daybed
This bed is very well made. The iron feels very solid and is of a good quality. We were concerned about the fact that the trundle is slightly smaller, but did not opt to buy one of C&B's special sized mattresses. We brought it home and slid a standard twin mattress underneath and IT DOES in fact accommodate a standard twin mattress. It's only the metal trundle that is smaller. The mattress hangs over by about two inches on both sides. We are probably going to just saw off those little metal bits that are supposed to hold the mattress in place. You don't really need them. The mattress can just sit on top of the trundle just fine.

Looks Great
I have a small 2BR house and wanted my office to double as a guest room. The daybed totally fits the bill. It was very easy to put together -- I did it by myself in less than 30 minutes (unwrapping the packaging probably took longer!). I'm very pleased with my purchase (bought the daybed only and not the trundle).

Wonderful customer service
The first shipment of the daybed arrived with an intact box but one of the legs of the frame was bent. We contacted customer service, and they responded by sending a replacement. The daybed is now assembled and is just great. It's difficult to find a daybed of this length (most are longer), but this fit our needs and our space!

Great traditional and modern bed combo
I bought this bed for our 3rd bedroom which also doubles as an office. I wanted something that could serve as both a couch and as an extra space for a guest to sleep. This bed was very easy to put together and is very sturdy. I did not purchase the trundle so I cannot comment on that. The finish is a nice antique bronze color and blends in nicely with either modern/contemporary furniture or traditional furnishings. Overall a great purchase, we are very happy with it.

Fit Perfectly
What a great daybed! Simple and easy to put together. Need trundle mattress. Yours alittle expensive, but can't find one anywhere else.

Note trundle details carefully
We bought this for the style and really like how it looks in our guest room.
But if you're interested in the trundle, you should realize that the trundle (which is not a pop-up trundle) accomodates a custom-sized mattress (70.5" long), which is shorter than a standard twin mattress. And because this daybed sits lower than many others I've seen, the below-bed clearance is only about 10.5" (for both the trundle and mattress). That means that even if you consider using the bed with another manufacturer's trundle, you won't be able to use a standard thickness mattress either.

Just Right!
I bought two Porto day beds for the sleep-over room. The dark metal has both a vintage and updated look. Easy to assemble, yet very sturdy, they don't have either the too heavy or too frilly look of most day beds.

All in all very happy. I didn't realize at first the trundle is not a pop up like most others. not a big deal. i was quite suprised though that the trundle mattress is a custom size mattress that you can only get from Crate & Barrel. This resulted in a separate order and more time i will be taking off to sit & wait for the delivery. Should've read the whole description.

A great addition to any guest room.
I looked for several years for the perfect daybed. This is it. It is a wonderful transitional piece to combine with other styles. The finish is beautiful and the bed is sturdy. This bed is a true value. I love it!

stylish and simple
We purchased the bed set for our guest room. It was easy to put together. Our guest room is also a play room combo and this bed set is perfect for the area.

sturdy and simple
A great bed for our teenage daughter. It's sturdy and can easily fit a nice thick mattress in the trundle underneath. It has been used for a year now and is holding up perfectly with the only complaint being not quite enought room around the edges to be able to say making the bed up is a breeze. A bit tight but I guess that means nothing gets stuck either! Moved overseas with it and it was easy to put together as well.
