The rugged warmth of solid elm contrasts handsomely with the blue-black industrial chic of millscale steel in this compact desk, fully finished to float in a room. Three-drawer desk is crafted with simple lines and traditional wood-on-wood joinery without the use of nails or screws. A multi-step tung tree oil finish, a natural oil derived from the seeds of the tung tree nut, brings out the sweeping grain and preserves the beauty of the wood. Inset steel drawer pulls echo the steel desktop. Center drawer can accommodate a laptop (drawer front does not drop down).
