Nice chairs
We bought these chairs to replace some that were falling apart. We chose them because they are a neutral wood that doesn't clash with our other furniture, and we did a sit test in the store and found they were solid and comfortable. We also bought the cushions in the color "copper," which is actually a nice gold. We are very satisfied with them. The only negative is that the bottoms of the legs are slightly uneven, so we needed to add stick-on padding to level them (and to protect the floor). If there were a table in the matching wood that would be better for our space, we would have bought that, too, but for now the chairs are fine with our old table.

Beautiful Chairs!
My husband and I bought these chairs to go with a mango wood table we already owned. Even though they are not an exact match, we couldn't be happier with these chairs! The grain is gorgeous and we get so many compliments! We're looking forward to having these chairs for a long time!

Beautiful, elegant chairs
My husband and I were given an antique kitchen table and needed dining chairs. The basque chairs are perfect! They're beautiful, elegant, extremely well made and the honey is a rich color. They are a perfect fit either with the matching table or a table that you already have. The copper seat cushions are comfortable and simple and neutral but not at all dull. They really spruce up my small city kitchen.

Excellent Chairs
We bought six of these chairs for our kitchen table. They are great. Nice heavy chairs but our small children can still move them around.

bought another 3
I bought 2 of these chairs four years ago and paired them with the benches. Decided to replace a bench with three new chairs.
The wood is the same, the originals have not faded, the quality is the same. They are great chairs, great quality.

Fantastic!!
I bought these chairs without first seeing them in the store, which made me quite nervous, but it was unfounded. They are gorgeous, look exactly as they do in the photos and are strong and heavy. Wonderful purchase.

Simply beautiful!
I love the entire Basque collection, so much that my husband and I own the long table, 8 chairs and the hutch. The ONLY downside? They don't make armchairs to go at the heads of the table. We are on the hunt to find something comparable but I want to hold out in hopes that C&B will offer the armchairs, too. Please C&B!

Wonderful chairs
I had the basque bar table and added these chairs to complete the set. They are very well made, extremely comfortable (I bought chair pads) and just love them! I am so glad I splurged and purchased these. High quality and look elegant.

Great chunky chairs
We bought these chairs to go with our Cabria dining table, as my husband wanted more back support than the Cabria chairs provide. The chairs are really solid and great quality. We sit on them for hours during a dinner party with no complaints and they look fab with the table.

Beautiful and solid
Perfect in every way. These are solid and sturdy, the lines are clean without being overly modern, and the stain is warm and beautiful. They're also very comfortable without the cushions.

Bought 8 side chairs to go with the table. They are awesome. Beautiful grain and color. They are quite large, sturdy and solid. No complaints. They came assembled, one chair in each box.

Honey 64" Basque Dining Table
The table is absolutely beautiful with its natural grain and warm honey colour. It is very sturdy and is a great size for 6 people dining. I have been rather nervous putting anything on the table top though as it is very prone to scratches and despite being very careful we have still managed to find little scratches and indents. It is a shame to cover the surface with a runner or table cloth all of the time, but I guess the first scratch is the hardest to find.

Basque Honey Side Chair
Great quality, solid construction, clean lines. Deep seat makes it comfortable for either me at 6' or my wife at 5'4". Haven't experienced any wood scaring issues yet from our children, that others have spoken of, but the deep seats also make it easy for adding a booster seat and high chair.

not comfortable
They are beautiful. They are more beautiful than the table, with a richer, more consistent color and a more even grain pattern. Nice, simple (almost boring) lines... BUT they are not comfortable! The back is fine, but the seat is very large. So, unless you are particularly tall and have a large seat (to take advantage of the wider seat), the hard, crisp etch will dig into the back of your thigh, or you have to perch away from the seatback, and still need to pop your heels up to take the pressure off. Or, you could get the seat cushions, but they're not very hip looking, nor do they reach over the edge so your seat is cushioned but the back of your leg is not.

More walnut than honey
My husband and I took a long time to decide on a piece for our dining room. Our home has lots of cherry woodwork in the beams and furniture. We saw this piece in the catalog and even visited a showroom in Seattle to be sure we liked it. When the piece arrived, it was MUCH darker brown with even blackish tones. It does not match our current table (which we thought about replacing anyway with the Basque table) but now I am hesitant to order other pieces for fear that the color tones vary widely. At this point, we are contemplating returning but are very fearful of the related hassles. I checked the catalog again and thought I might have mistakenly ordered the Java tone but double checked and confirmed we did order the honey finish. Love the piece otherwise but really have some buyer's remorse.

Dining
This table was SO pretty - the irregularities in the color and grain are beautiful. The fact that it's made from mango trees is what made us purchase it. Has met all of my expectations!

Sturdy, comfortable
We purchased 6 side chairs, along with the large bench and table in the honey finish. Beautiful! The chairs are comfortable without any cushions, and the set is such a lovely addition to our house. It offers plenty of room for our family and guests, and best of all, it can be dressed up or down. A great fit for our style!
