Love this chair
This is a wonderful, timeless style that works great for a transitional space. The color is the perfect green, which feels very modern and fresh. As a bonus, they are also very comfortable!

no warranty?
these chairs are so beautiful and i was excited to get them, but like other reviewers, the green finish on the "leather" of the seats is scratching and peeling off so now they look terrible. i'm trying to find out if crate and barrel can repair or refinish them. otherwise, they will just get slipcovered... i'm so disappointed.

Would leather do that?
Shocking--we bought these chairs about 3 years ago, and they are showing the same cracks other customers describe. It looks like the green PAINT is oozing apart, revealing the black PLASTIC underneath

Disappointed
We purchased 6 of the Folio Kiwi Leather Side Chairs for our dining table about 4 years ago. They were great for the first 3 years. Over the last year, the leather has literally been slipping off the seats and there are big black patches where the leather has been worn away. I have been very disappointed with the purchase - I would have expected the chairs to last longer than 4 years and now they look a wreck!

Best purchase ever
Eight years ago I purchased the Folio chairs for my dining room. I sold my home with the dining set, but when I moved into my new home, I turned back to the Folio chairs and purchased them again. They are very stable, classic chairs, long lasting. I highly recommend them!

Cracking and Peeling off
I bought 2 red and 2 black folio chairs, leather surface starts cracking and then peeling off. 4 of them have same cracking spot, they start cracking from top center of the back. My coworker bought 2 red folio chairs, his chairs have same issue, they all cracking top center of the back and peeling off. I like this chair a lot, but I am not very happy the leather surface stars cracking after 2-3 yrs.

Love This Chair
I bought 4 of these chairs for my kitchen about 3 years ago, and I have loved them from day one. They are comfortable to sit on and fun to look at.

Love the color
I absolutely love the color and quality of these chairs. The seat is a bit hard, but it doesn't bother me. One guest commented on it. The only downside to these chairs is the price.

Bad finish--does not last
The finish on these chairs (I bought the kiwi green) very rapidly starts cracking and then peeling off. In partcular at the top of the chair for some reason. It ends up looking very very badly. Not sure what causes it, but it is not repairable. It appears as if it is some kind of plastic-paint that is cheaply painted on some kind of leather-like white material, but does not even remotely appear to be real leather.
I would not recommend this purchase. Our set of four lasted less than a year before the paint began "slidding" off of it. It looks pretty awful. I am rather shocked at how badly they held up. For the price, I would expect them to last a lot longer.

Very nice
These chairs are gorgeous. The picture does not do them justice in terms of the coloring. They really make my dining room.

Wow
These chairs are suprisingly comfortable and sturdy, and they look great. I bought 4 in Kiwi and then went back and bought two more. They are simple to clean and though I have only had them for a few weeks the construction feels as though they will last for a long time. I would definitely recommend these chairs.

Clean Lines and Comfortable
I love the variety of colors the Folio chair is available in. The lines are simple and elegant and the leather is very comfortable for those long dinner discussions.

No Regrets For This Purchase
I purchased 4 of these chairs in kiwi to go with my Halo Dining Table with the 48" Glass Top that I also purchased from Crate&Barrel. I love the modern, sturdy clean leather look that accentuates wonderfully with my kitchen. They are very comfortable and the varity of colors is an added advantage which helps my decision of my next chair color to purchase for my dining room. I love these chairs and i do not have any regrets for purchasing this product.

stylish and comfortable
I just bought these chairs to go with my Kyoto table. They are very attractive and a good quality leather. I bought them in black and my only concern is that they show up every hand print. Having a young child in the house means I'm always wiping down the chairs. Other than that I'm very pleased with them.

very good but seam collects dirt
We've had 6 chairs for almost a year and have been very happy with them. They get lots of use at our dining table. The frame is heavy and very sturdy. The legs have been somewhat rough on my wool rug. The leather has held up well and can be cleaned with a damp cloth. We have children and a dog and cleanability was a major factor in our purchase decision. The one downside with the chairs has been the deep crease between the back and seat. It collects dust and food particles and takes some effort to vacuum or wipe out.

I love these chairs
I purchased 6 of these chairs in kiwi and love them. The color is great with my kitchen table that I also purchased from Crate & Barrel. I later bought a couple of the bar stools for my island. Love them too!

Great purchase
We purchased 4 of these chairs (in black) to go with a round mod wooden dining table. It is a great look. While these chairs appear to have a modern look to them, they could probably go with any decor and suit many purposes. Plus, they come in such a wide range of colors which makes them even more versatile. They seem to be very well made and are very comfortable. Our 2 year old son also sits on them very comfortably when we boost the chair up with the "Kaboost" (which if any parents are wondering, fits these chairs very well).
Oh and by the way, I shopped around for a while for similar looking chairs and these were by far the nicest and most well made that I saw. If you are looking for an aesthetic, modern, well made leather chair at a great price, than this is definitely a purchase worth making.

so glad we got green
Went to CB to find plain brown chairs. Thank goodness i saw these sitting next to a white oak table like my own. I didn't think, and bought 4 of them. That was 3 years ago and I am SOOO glad I did. These chairs just make the whole dining area.
