Belmont White Kitchen Island is rated 4.6273 out of 5 by 110.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Useful, BUT... We have a small kitchen in Brooklyn so this piece is quite functional. Great for extra storage and the top is great for chopping or rolling out dough etc...With all of that being said...assembly took us 3 hours (35 minutes just to unpack it). I have absolutely no idea how some reviewers assembled this alone. If they really did, their street cred just sky rocketed.Attaching the table top was boarderline ridiculous. I have very small hands and fingers, but one would need freakishly small hands to easily screw in the back.If you are patient and have another person to help, by all means this is a great item. Would have given it 5 stars if assembly was easier.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice stuff, but long assembly and some flaws I really like this piece: great size, nice material and perfect for my kitchen. It's made out of real wood and you can still smell the paint on it when you take it out of the box, so it's definitely something that you can keep forever and refinish when the time comes. But there are a few draw backs.1. The assembly takes a long time2. On the one that I got, the drawer tracks weren't quite aligned on one side so one side of the drawer sticks out a little further than the other3. The casters don't lock as well as I had hoped

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great addition to kitchen I replaced my kitchen table with this to gain more storage, and to better accommodate cooking in the funky kitchen in my little 110 year old house. The "breakfast bar" feature is wonderful, as is the extra storage. I had no problems putting this together, and did so without any help - although would recommend help putting the island top on if you can.I love that I can roll this anywhere needed, and that I can brake it in place while I am rolling out dough, or whatever. I also love the dimensions, which allow me to easily move around the kitchen when it is "parked" in its usual island position. I was never able to do so with my small kitchen table.I wish I had made this switch years ago!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Attractive but not Durable We purchased this in black two years ago. It is attractive. The castors work well to allow it to be repositioned. The sliding doors have been extrememly problematic as the unit has aged. The tracks have warped and now at least once a week one or both doors fall off. The doors are then a pain to get back on the tracks. I would now only recommend this unit if the items to be stored in it are not accessed that often or it will be used for less than a year.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Versatile Piece My MIL got us this piece because we were looking for more storage, more counter space, and the ability to fit bar stools in this very bizarre sized floating corner in my kitchen. This achieves all of these, AND has wheels so I can use it as a floating cutting board on top of all of that. Amazing.IF YOU ARE ABOUT TO ASSEMBLE, READ THIS:I am the least mechanically inclined person ever, but I am very strong. It took me 3.5 hours to put this together by myself. **Do NOT remove the stopper dowels from counter portion of it*** The "parts" list is misleading in a way. My process:I took all of the pieces out of the box and labeled them by writing on their wrappers as they matched up to the parts list. (Again, ignore the 2 dowels you think you are missing..leave them where they are). No worries about the left and rights, they are labeled and you will see this as you unwrap.I laid out two large towels on my hardwood and went to work.Be careful with the drawers, I had to unscrew some of my work because I don't believe the instructions warned to ensure to look for holes to face down on the BACK DRAWER PLATE. Not a huge deal to fix because I have an electric drill.Which leads me to my next tip, ignore the warning for the electric drill. Just put it on a slow speed. This would take even longer if you don't use one.Get a flashlight when you have to install that countertop. This is a huge construction/design flaw.Best of luck. This only gets 4 stars because there was a scratch in my countertop as soon as I unwrapped it and I was very very gentle with it prior to that. Also, assembly is okay, but tedious. With the amount of $ paid for shipping, this should have been pre-built.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Solution This island is a perfect solution for small spaces that need additional storage. It's a very heavy, well-made piece and the quality seems excellent. I wish there was an option to PAY the delivery guys to assemble it or have it delivered already assembled. It took me HOURS to do by myself and there are some steps that it's nearly impossible to correct except by taking the piece apart and starting all over. Although the step by step instructions were good, A global overview of the assembly process would have helped alot. Overall, I'm really happy with this piece, despite the torture of assembling it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great look & Storage Our home was built in 1913, subsequently the kitchen cabinets are very limited and we really needed some extra storage. This counter fit the bill perfectly! It integrated seamlessly in to the overall look & feel of the kitchen and provided us with two additional cabinets and two extra drawers. The cabinets are easy to access, and with a couple of stools, the piece becomes a place to hang out over snacks and cocktails as well.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good product...difficult assembly I bought two of these and love them. Versatile and solid, they look great in my kitchen.Pros: solid, attractive, plenty of space, option to have fixed legs or wheels.Cons: #1 difficult assembly. Drill holes did not always line up well and some screws were extremely difficult to tighten or were in highly awkward positions. Assembly should be redesigned and made more simple. Takes two people 2-3 hours to assemble. #2 Much too much packaging material to throw away. Literally four large garbage bags of broken down styrofoam to throw into the landfill and a huge cardboard box to break down. There was more packing material than was needed...should be reengineered to be more green and greatly reduce usage of polystyrene. If assembly were easier and the unnecessary packaging material were dealt with I would give this more stars.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sturdy Construction It took me a long time to finally find this one and I am absolutely satisfied. Solid, nice detailed work, and real wood. This is a heavy duty piece of furniture that worths the money, and so you will need two persons to put it together for the top panel. Excellent customer service is one of the reasons that keeps me coming back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pefect! I live in a condo with a small kitchen and not enough storage space. I'd been looking for something that would give more storage space in an attractive way. This storage cart fits the bill perfectly and the white goes with my cabinets. It is beautiful, substantial, and allows me to store my extra kitchen items.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect! I bought this b/c I was looking for a kitchen island and had received a Gift Cert. from C&B for Christmas. I couldn't have made a better choice. The size is perfect for my kitchen. It's long and narrow with the breakfast bar down, but gives plently of extra counter and storage and storage space. I use it everyday and guests always give me compliments on its look and great function. The instructions say that it's best for 2 people to asemble it, but I was able to do it myself in about 90 minutes. Every pre-drilled hole lined up perectly and the instructions were extremely easy to follow.Something I did not see in the description or the pictures is that it does come with both feet and casters. I chose to put the casters on b/c of my tile floor. They make it very easy to move the unit for cleaning.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Nice Piece We got this for our wedding and were really excited to use it in our kitchen for extra storage and as a table when needed. I have assembled a lot of tables, cabinets, etc. in the past but I was ready for a challenge after reading the reviews. It really was not hard to put together; the instructions were very clear and easy to follow. I agree that the screws under the top are very difficult to screw in but that literally was the only problem I had with this piece. Maybe I had a little more patience with it since I knew from previous reviewers that it would be a pain. I put this together on my own in about 2 hours; my husband just had to help me at times when you needed to turn the unit over or lift the whole thing. It is a nice size and adds ample counter space as well as a table top which we needed in our smallish apartment. Definitely recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Functionality meets style I've been eyeing this hutch for a while. We aren't using as an island. We are using it for additional storage against a wall. So we were soooo happy when we learned it came with permanent legs instead of just the wheels shown in the picture. It gives our kitchen a very old-world feel while still being modern. The farm-house white goes with our kitchen very well. I was a little nervous when I found out I had to assemble it, but it actually wasn't too difficult. It took me about 2 hours from start to finish and I was all by myself.Last but not least, the fold out top is convenient. We have it kept down most of the time, but when we have people over for parties, it gives us just a tiny bit of extra countertop space for food and drinks.Totally worth the money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect! We were looking for some extra counter space, and this island works perfect for us - even up against the wall. The quality is excellent and there is plent of storage room. We love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful but tricky to assemble I've been looking at kitchen islands for years for my medium size vintage kitchen. Missed out on the Somerset Island cause I waited too long but decided to get this one - finally. Required a pickup at a C & B 2 hours away to avoid the $$$$$$$ shipping charge. Helpful employees helped me get it to the car and a dolly helped get it into the house. It weighs 175 lbs in the box so get help!It took 2 people 2 1/2 hours to assemble - and I swear 30 minutes of that was on the - as noted below - ridiculously small screws and impossible angle in the rear of the underside of the top. If you get the least bit impatient with projects like these, just be aware that as you near the end, the most challenging part is still ahead.Once it's assembled it's great. Beautiful, sturdy and completely improves the functionality of the kitchen. The friend who helped assemble didn't think it was that hard but you'll still need a lot of patience with a few parts.
