Rustic and Modern all in one
I was looking for a durable table that my children could use as a work space, but I also wanted it to be appealing to the eye. The Dakota table is exactly what I was looking for. It is a heavy solid wood table that is both rustic and modern. I love how the sides of the table have wavy streams of darker wood. I purchased the table from the C&B outlet as a final sale due to water stains. I followed the other reviewers' advice and rubbed natural beeswax to it. The stains disappeared and it is absolutely perfect! I could not be happier with my purchase! My children love their homework space and my husband loved the price. I paired the table with Andres Chairs sold from a different retailer, and It looks fantastic, they look like they were made for each other.

simply beautiful table
I'm delighted with this purchase. The modern lines are softened by the natural variations in the wood grain and the wavy edges of the table top. If you appreciate natural wood tones, but shy away from a true rustic look and wild woodgrain variations, this table is for you. On a practical note, the table is solidly constructed and quite heavy. Delivery service was professional and the table arrived well protected.

Fantastic Dining Table
We couldn't be happier with our Dakota table, side bench and Captiva java side chairs. I have never come across a more beautiful or well made dining set. If you like the look of natural wood grain and are prepared to receive many compliments, this is the table for you. Anytime you have something that is so strikingly handcrafted it will require a little more care to prevent staining from food and drinks. I bought a wood protective paste at the hardware store to prevent any future damage and buffed it in. It didn't change the finish of the wood.

Unique Dakota Table
We purchased the Dakota Table and love the unique design and superb quality. We paired it with Plum Folio Side Chairs and 2 Milo Linen Slipcovered Chairs at either end. We have gotten great feedback from friends and family! In trying to find natural beeswax to treat the table, I realized it was not easy to find all natural beeswax locally. After reading a Dakota Table Customer review on the Crate Website it was recommended to go on line and order from Daddy's Van's all natural beeswax. I did just that , have used it on the table, and it has enhanced the natural beauty of the table which makes it look even better while protecting it. I would highly recommend it to anyone! Beautiful!
We purchased this table after looking at literally hundreds of dining room tables. This table is so beautiful and fits in with our contemporary decor. It's grey hue matches the high back leather chairs we paired with it. We have treated the table with Boos Block Board Cream which has made it moisture resistant. This table is truly a work of art!

More Than Fabulous!
My husband and I couldn't be happier with this dining table. Solid quality. Casual and contemporary. We paired with six java captiva side chairs. The contrast adds interest and frames the table beautifully.
Couldn't find an all natural bees wax paste locally in stores (do not use anything with orange oil or coloring as it may alter the wood tone) so we ordered DaddyVan's all natural bees wax online. Excellent product. A thin coat is all that is needed to protect.

Beautifully simple natural look
If you like the raw edge wood look, you'll enjoy this piece. It's modern, yet would work with many styles. The color has gray, blonde/white and tan hues. Close to aged teak almost. Love it!

Need Advice
Love this table. I have 2 kids ages 7 & 2 and I am afraid they will trash it because it is not sealed. It would be used as a dining room table so not every day. Any suggestions? Should I go for it or keep looking?

Gorgeous & Durable
I absolutley love this table. My husband and I bought it about a year and a half ago and it still looks like new. It has lasted better then I would have imagined especially since we have not treated the wood our selves. It has maintained it's gorgeous unique look and I think this is a table that will last for many years.

Fantastic Table
We love this table. It's perfect in our kitchen and receives rave reviews from our friends. I have treated it with butcher block oil and a bit of wax to prevent staining- this works beautifully and does nothing to alter the appearance of the piece. Highly recommended!

natural beauty
I absolutely love this table, if you have been looking for something with natural elegance and simple style this is it. I've never gotten more compliments on a piece of furniture before. It does take some work to maintain the finish. I use placemats and if there is a water spot I just use beeswax and it disappears. What a beautiful piece and well worth the money.

After looking at several tables. we purchased this table for our new home and just love it. In addition. we purchased the Captiva chairs to go along with the table. We just love the look. The compliments are many.

Fabulous for the Lake!
We purchased this table for our new home on a lake. We paired it with the dove gray leather parsons chair.
We love this entire grouping together. Anyone coming in asks about the table and chairs because they love it too! I do use placemats and I have treated it with paste wax. You can get a ring mark from glasses placed directly on the wood and so I would recommend treating in. Between times... I just dust it with Pledge. There has been no color change and we could not be happier. Mix it with some contemporary pieces and it really stands out!

Love it
I use mine as a desk and it is beautiful and functional. I get compliments every time someone new comes to my house.
i also believe the simple style makes it versatile for different types of home decor.
i am very careful with spills and staining. the wood seems like it stains easily. if you are putting it to regular use as a dining table i would recommend covering with a table cloth or at least place mats. i have had this table for over one year, albeit as a desk, and it is still in near-new condition.
