Love Love Love
I purchased the Sloane media stand to add storage space to a very small living room. It did just that and beyond! The instructions were easy to follow, and it is more sturdy than I imagined it would've been for a leaning structure! I get compliments on it with every visit! I strongly recommend the Sloane!

Very nice purchase
the stand itself is very well put together and looks great in our living room. Even with our 50" plasma the TV can stand in front of the side bars, so don't worry unless you have an extremely large TV (60"+). The only downside was that we were missing two sets of screws and it held up the assembly process for a few days. The customer service rep was extremely helpful and 2-day aired the parts immediately, which was nice. Overall - nice stand, not overly heavy to move and provides a great storage area.

So pleased!
This media stand was one of the best purchases i have made. I have a small place and wanted to maximize my space. It was super easy to assemble, I am a single mom and did it all within a couple of hours. I also purchased two 18" bookcases that I attached on both sides...those were even easier to assemble. CB designers thought of it all...it looks great and truly utilizes the space. completely recommend it, great price for a great product.

Great option for small spaces
I bought this media console, along with the wide and narrow bookcases that match and built it out for a small wall in my living/dining room. I own a 1 br condo, but have tons of books, knick knacks from travel, family photos and dvds, and together the console and bookshelves provide tons of room for storage in a really compact space.
I found it easy to build on my own (only tough part were the screws in the tops and bottoms of the bookshelves) and have received a number of compliments from friends and family.

Awesome Media Stand
I am a recent college graduate and I was looking for something that reflected after-college living. This piece is the perfect addition to my living room. Just big enough for a sizable TV and plenty of room for media players/storage. I am extremely happy with the quality of the piece and how it looks. I would highly recommend having 2 people around for the assembly though...you really do risk breaking some parts without an extra hand to hoist things up.
If you are looking for a slick contemporary piece to your living room, I highly recommend this!

Nice entertainment stand.
Very easy to put together. Looks very nice and has lasted very nicely--I've had it for over two years.

Sloane Leaning Media
I needed to update my media storage after many years with a unit that was much too large for the space. The dimensions of the Sloane center are the same as the unit I was replacing, but the open shelving makes it seem smaller than it is. The shelves are great for storage of DVD's/ videos and the sliding cabinet front hides media equipment and other items from view.

Looks good, practical and easy to assemble
Excellent stand, easy to assemble and looks great with two 18" leaning bookcases on both sides. I opted for the 18" due to my space and it still provides excellent storage, without the bulk. It is lightweight as well which makes it easy to move during the setup.

Lovely looks, difficult assembly
I do love how this media center looks, all clean lines and decent storage in dark espresso. That said, this was one of the most difficult assemblies I have every experienced. The screws were often recessed in a way that did not allow me to fully tighten them with either the screwdriver I was using or an electric drill. You'll need to buy yourself both a long and a short screwdriver with a standard, unarticulated shaft (ones that have a ratcheting system or the ability to swap bits will probably not fit the longer, recessed areas). If you already have those, you'll be fine. Also note that attaching this item to the wall is very important. It has a high center of gravity that can cause it to tip over by pressing on the outer, top edge of the main lower section. Included in the assembly directions are two methods of mounting the piece to the wall. To avoid the holes that come with the upper wall mounting, I opted for the method that uses two pieces of metal that attach to the base of the wall. You slide the back leg support into them and they hold the back support down. Theoretically thoughtful, but in practice, not a great design: if you have the stand pulled away from the wall more than an inch or two (due to plugs or inflexible cords exiting the back), the metal pieces aren't long enough to fully catch the legs if the item tips. Additionally, these metal pieces are difficult to screw in if you have baseboard molding with an extremely ornamental surface. Standard wall mounting is probably your best bet.

Media Stand is Awesome
I just remodeled my kitchen/living room and went very modern and needed a stand for my flat screen. This stand is perfect. I don't have an overly large family room and this takes up limited space. Very dark brown and very well constructed. I didn't need to fasten it to the wall, it is very sturdy on its own. I am very happy with this product as I am with all my crate and barrel purchases. It did take my husband and I about two hours to put together, but went very smoothly with no problems. We just took our time doing it right.

good tv stand
I bought this with a bookcase and the wine bar. It makes a good set for a small apartment. All three can be assembled by one person, but note that you're supposed to screw all of them together from behind, and once you do that you'll need at least two people to move the whole assembly against the wall. One of the bolts on my tv stand didnt fit in it's hole (it's only held up by 4 bolts) so I had to use some wood screws right through the side of the cabinet in it's place. Not great, but other than that everything is solid. The wood is very dark, and looks black unless it's in very bright light.

Looks Great
Love the media stand. Cabinet is large and the wood is a great color. In the sunlight, the reddish tones of the wood come out. Only complaint is it also collects dust pretty easily which is highly visible in the sunlight.
Was fairly easy to assemble, though not quite as easy as the matching bar or bookcase.

great looking piece
I purchased the media center and a ladder bookcase for both sides...I love the look of it! Very clean and good assembly instructions. I haven't attached it to the wall yet, but it is needed...it is not very stable unless tethered to the wall. Overall, a great buy for the money.

Sloane is Fabulous
Along with buying this piece, I also have the Sloane Wine Bar. My condo is not large, but fits these two pieces perfectly. My husband and I do plan to purchase a home in the future and will eventually want to build upon this Media Stand. The Sloane products allow for us to add shelves and accessories as needed to fit the size of our "future" home. As for right now, we couldn't be happier with this piece. It's not too bulky, holds all that we need and more. We like how the compartment below has a sliding door, so that items within it are not exposed.

Very sleek
I always get compliments on this unit - I have just the media stand (not the optional side pieces). I was looking for something to hold a flat screen TV but also wanted a shelf above to hold plants, etc. This fit the bill perfectly. It's very sleek/modern looking, and not obtrusive in any way. It fits the area I needed it for perfectly. It was also fairly easy to put together - I think it's recommended that two people do it, but being that I'm an independent single gal, I decided to try it on my own, and was able to complete it in probably around two hours.

Great for Small Spaces
This piece fits perfectly in the living room of our extremely narrow rowhouse. It was not too difficult to put together. The piece is supposed to be secured to the wall; however, this did not work in our house due to our baseboards. Even so, it is still very sturdy.

Really like this
Very pleased with the purchase, saw it in the store so there weren't any surprises. For furniture you have to assemble it is very nice quiality and solid with a nice finish.

Great but color is very dark
I am a fan of the sloane leaning products. In addition to the media stand I also have the desk and a bookcase in white. Overall, they are easy to assemble, look nice, and feel very sturdy.
I took off one star for the media stand because of the color. It's really dark in person.. almost black! In the pictures it looks much more brown.
