after years of searching...
I bought this sofa for my living room, and it is truly worth every penny. It makes the entire space look more elegant. The fabric is a little rough, but it doesn't bother me. My only complaint is that the pillows flatten out after you sit in them, and don't puff back up...Maybe we need more down filling??? Otherwise it's perfect.

Great sofa
I did a lot of research on this Lee sofa. I priced it at 3 different stores and Crate and Barrel by far was the best price. I have even talked to the Lee representative and he told me that the Essex sofa at Crate and Barrel was the best place to buy it. I love the look and it is so comfortable. The linen fabric is so pretty and I get complements all the time. I would defiantly recommend it.

Verstaile style
I customized the Essex sofa in a 100% linen fabric. My style is casual/beachy transitional (NOT shabby chic) and this nod to an English roll arm sofa was exactly what I was looking for. The linen keeps it casual, but the pleats and seams keep it from being sloppy. I also upgraded to 100% down cushions, but when I removed the covers to investigate why the seat cushions were wearing unevenly, I discovered I received the standard down-wrapped foam. After paying for the upgrades, you can say I am less than happy about it. If it were not for that, I would have given this couch five stars.

Comfortable and stylish
We bought the couch two months ago and are very happy with our purchase. The couch is spacious and very comfortable. The natural fabric feels great, and we are very pleased with the way it looks against the dark wall in our apartment. Overall, a great buy.

No regrets
Loving this sofa which I purchased with 2 other chairs, and shipped to the Caribbean. The fabric is great for the climate, and although I was not sure about the depth; and the level of the arms, it makes for a very comfortable and elegant addition to my living room.

Lovely and inviting!
We bought the Essex sofa for our small den, and find it is perfect for television watching and reading. It is so comfortable one can sink in and relax, without being swallowed up. It also looks lovely, making the room seem more like an English library than a TV room. We also bought two of the Essex chairs, which are great for reading and extra seating.
To top it off, the delivery service was excellent!

stunning quality and delivery
we purchased the sofa and chairs together... what a beautiful set. they are sturdy, clasic looking and made in the usa which is refreshing. the delivery men were impressive too- polite, able to carry through the doorway without scratching, and cleaned up as if they were never there within minutes. we got them scotch-guarded since the fabric is so light and the smell disipated in a day or so. water beads right up.

Great style...
I love this couch and purchased two chairs also. It is comfortable and stylish. I would have given it 5 stars but the first couch had a problem with a leg and the stitching but was replaced quickly. The cushions appear uneven but I am hoping this changes with use. I wish there had been more color options for quick ship... BUT am extremely happy with the couch.

GORGEOUS
This couch is gorgeous, plus it is super comfortable. Everyone who sits on it thinks it is down. The arms are perfect, and the casters add just the right touch. I hope it lasts forever, because I love, love, LOVE IT.

comfy +
I love this couch. At first I was worried that the low arms would not be comfortable for taking a nap. But it IS extremely comfortable to stretch out on. The pillows are large and a little lumpy, I added throw pillows with some color. Comfort and style is what makes this couch great. The color is light but with enough texture and variation so it doesn't show dirt.
