Great sofa
This is a very comfortable inviting sofa with soft lines. Comfortable but not squishy. The red is bright, but also a soft red, not a color I think will tire the eyes. Very sharp looking and I am very pleased.

Lemon buyer beware!
Sofa looks great but the cushions collaped down making it very uncomfortable to lay down on. I am not a large person and this happeded within the first few months of owning it.. The fabric wrinkles and the seams of the cushions have moved and no longer match up with the edges of the cushions. I saw another comment with the same complaint and it said that their sofa was part of a bad batch My recommendation, do not buy this sofa!

Cats Love The Fabric...
This couch is well worth the money, if you do not own indoor cats who like to scratch. This fabric pulls very easily, making this a rather fun game for my two cats to scratch the couch. I've had the couch for a year and a half, and it looks much older than that.
The bright, bold color has also faded rather quickly, and like others the cushions have pretty much degraded. (I also flipped and rotated regularly)
The bones of the couch are quite good, but I wish it came in a durable microfiber suede in the same color...

Good family sofa
We have owned the Hennessy red sofa for over 2 years and are overall very pleased. We have young children -- having a fabric that is a melange of colors works very well to not show every smudge and fingerprint. I was surprised to see that people have had problems with the cushions -- ours are just fine (I rotate them every now and then) We live in a 1950s home and found most modern furniture to be too big and bulky --- this sofa does not do that. It's comfy and stylish without being overwhelming; we can even sleep comfortably on it.

So disappointed!
I LOVED the look and sit of this sofa. Unfortunately, I am chemically sensitive, and the sofa had a strong "chemical" odor that had not dissipated sufficiently after a month, and thus had to be returned. (I had to move the furniture to another location after one week because the smell was so strong.) I would not have expected this with a piece of furniture billed as being "eco-friendly". If you don't have chemical sensitivites, you'll probably do fine, but if you are someone like me, the off gassing will probably get to you.

Seat Cushions Lacking
Sofa looks great and is initially comfortable; however, the cushions do not hold up under normal use. I am 185lbs and the heaviest in my home. The company sent me new cushions that are better but after 2 weeks I can tell they still are not good enough. They do not spring back into place as they should and if you sit too long you sit lower and lower.

Great sofa
I'm very happy with this, and crate and barrel in general. They were back ordered but came in relatively quickly. Everyone I spoke with on the phone and in the store was very helpful and they sent a swatch via fed ex within one or two days. The color of the sofa is great and all my friends and family think it's a great piece! It's a little narrower than some couches but is perfect for me.

Fabric will mat & discolor
After only four months of careful ownership (weekly flip / rotate and regular vacuuming) I can report that the beautiful woven fabric on my sofa has matted and discolored where compressed (the seat). The fabric is interesting and it's a shame that it does not withstand casual use. This sofa is in a bachelor's apartment and it is not abused or overloaded.
The design is good, the sofa is comfortable.

Not happy
We purchased the sofa and initally were really happy with it. It does look great. However the cushions broke down in less than a month --they did not pop back up as cushions should do. The cushion even began to roll--indicating the life of the sofa is probably not going to be much longer. I went into C&B and asked what they could do. They said the first step is to make new cushions, saying that there may have been a "bad batch" of cushions that I got. Other than that, they would give me store credit for the sofa if I was still not happy.

Recommend...Yes and No
We've had this couch for going on 4 months now, PROS: looks great, I love the look, design and color. CONS: the seating is not that comfortable. I was looking for something that was firm (due to my bad back) and the sit was firm in the store but at home the cushions quickly sag down and making it not too comfortable and I'm only 125 lbs. My husband hated the sit and so I had to buy him a comfortable chair. Oh by the way, the first week, I spilled coffee on it, took the cover off right away, took it to the cleaners-stain completely gone! That's good. Bottom line: Great Looking, Fabric Durable but Not Satisfied with Comfort.

A Perfect Fit
I needed a sofa for a "4 seasons" type room with knotty pine paneling and a natural slate floor. The Hennessy sofa in tomato red is perfect in this space! The color "pops", but is still very organic--blends beautifully!

The best design
I like this design very much. It's clean and slim. The one thing I like most is it does not needs cushions for the back, which makes it easy to maintain.

Great for pets
I bought the tomato red couch, about a month ago. At first, my family was a bit apprehensive about the color, but it adds so much to the room. Both of my cats sit on the couch's backrest, and it destroyed my last couch from another retailer. This backrest is made to stand up. I love the fabric! Thank you Crate & Barrel for a couch that looks stylish, and works well in a real world home.

Perfect Sofa
I love this sofa! It's clean and modern but not stark or too minimal. It offers at large seating area but doesn't take up a lot of space. It's comfortable and fits in with many decor styles.

Great Stylish Couch
My boyfriend and I bought this couch a month ago, and we love it! It is very comfy and looks great in our home. The tomato color adds that extra pop of color we were looking for. We got the chair to match and they both work so well.
My only complaint is the cushions, though very comfy, do get a bit smashed down after you sit in them for a while. It helps to flip them.
Other than that it's a great product. Thanks Crate and Barrel!

Love it
Perfect size for an apartment...big enough to stretch out, but not so big that it takes over your entire room. The cushions are firm, comfortable but not so cushy that you sink into them. The topaz color matches everything!
Only con is the chemical smell that someone else mentioned--we only got the sofa a week ago, and I think it is starting to air out.

Moody Chocolate Brown
This is a great sofa, especially for the price. We ordered the chocolate brown and it looks terrific in the family room with yummy velvet pillows.

bigger is better
i think my mother and i sat on at least 100 sofas the weekend she was in town helping my sofa-shop. i am particular because i have back and neck issues. needless to say, we both kept coming back to this sofa. it was the most comfortable, and surprisingly affordable. i love the red and it blends well with just about anything. the sofa ended up looking larger in my home than i expected, but it carries its weight well, and i have no complaints--except that i am now watching more tv because i finally have comfortable seating! i finally bought my first real piece of furniture and it's a memorable one (still!)!
