Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great gadget! I bought a second grapefruit knife for our vacation condo. However, this time the double blades were too close together to properly section the grapefruit. I had to use a butter knife to pry the blades apart but after doing so it worked just fine. Again, a worthwhile purchase and a kitchen gadget that doe the job.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just what he wanted! Was having phone conversation with my brother who is a major grapefruit lover, and he asked if I had a grapefruit knife he could borrow as his has disappeared! I surprised him with this small but great gift and he uses it almost every day! It takes a lot to get kudos from him but this did the trick :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally a grapefruit knife I've been looking unsuccessfully for a grapefruit knife until I searched at Crate & Barrel. It's great. The double blade separates segments from the membrane and the single blade cuts them free. I love it so much, I bought another one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Features - Makes Cutting a Grapefruit Easy I bought several of these around Christmas time as stocking stuffers and kept one for myself. I am so glad that I did! This little knife is fantastic. The curve makes it go around the outside of the grapefruit with ease, and then the knife part cuts both sides of each piece of grapefruit to allow for a quick and stressfree grapefruit cutting experience.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect GF knife I buy more grapefruits now because I can actually enjoy them.  This knife is sharp and gets the job done.  Plus, I haven't squirted juice into anyone's face at the kitchen table- bonus!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Product that works! I agree with the other raters of this product. T!here were no instructions, so it took one grapefruit to learn and nevertheless it came out perfectly! It's fast, cheap & effective. The one rater said you could cut yourself, so I simply left the protective cover on that side of the blade when not in use...no problem. i stupidly also prchased the grapefruit spoons along with this--not necessary!! This product does what you need!! Buy it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth it! The grapefruit knife is a great buy at $5.95 and actually does what it's supposed to do. Use the double blade to slice down each section and the single blade to slice around the outer edge. Much faster than using a paring knife. A great buy at $5.95.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brilliant This knife is a spectacularly designed tool. Not only is it a real time-saver, but you lose less fruit than with the old paring knife method. In addition, it is really FUN to use. I rarely write reviews, but this product inspired me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best grapefruit knife This knife perfectly cuts away the pieces of fruit! It is sharp though, so I like to keep the little plastic covers that it comes with on the blades. For $6 you can't go wrong!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fast but dangerous This is a very clever grapefruit knife. It didn't come with instructions, so it took me a few times to figure out how to use it.The straight blade is spit, so it slices both sides of the section membranes at the same time. It works best cutting from the peel side to the center. Then the curved blade works like the original grapefruit knife to cut the fruit from the peel. But a word of warning, because the knife has two sharp blades, one is sticking up into your face when using the other one. Maybe I'm a worrywart, but if the user isn't careful, you could poke your eye out or cut your face with the opposite blade. The knife comes with two clear plastic sheaths, but these do not provide a whole lot of protection. A child under 10 should not use this.It should be redesigned like a jack knife where each blade can be folded into the handle when not in use. That would make it perfect and easier to store too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Eat More Grapefruit!!! LOVE grapefruit, but often avoided actually eating it b/c of the messy cutting and difficulty getting the juicy fruit out! The knife makes it enjoyable and easy to eat gf and I'm SUPER glad I bought it!
