The Story

Patisserie-style pin is crafted of North American hardwood with a simple tapered shape, balanced for perfect pie crust, pizza dough and other pastries. Unfinished wood takes on flour over time, naturally becoming less sticky than finished pins.

J.K. Adams Co. French Rolling Pin is rated 4.75 out of 5 by 24.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great price! I have to admit it takes some getting used to after using a traditional rolling pin with handles. This, however, is such a great price for a solid piece. It's a beautiful wood that does a good job of rolling out pie crusts. Just remember to flour it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not my favorite I bought this to replace my silicone bakers pin after it had a mishap in our kitchen. I'm not impressed. Even though it was well floured, my pie crust, cookie dough and roll dough all stuck to it. I had to use an excessive amount of extra flour to keep it from sticking. I felt that the dough was uneven and it was frustrating to roll the dough properly. My husband has since repaired the end of my old silicone straight bakers pin and I'm going back to that one. I'm giving this one away.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! I had never used a french rolling pin before and wasn't quite sure if I would like it. This was so easy to use! I was told it would take some getting used to, but in my opinion it is much easier to use than other rolling pins. Another reason I love this rolling pin is the price! This was a great purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple and Beautiful I have only had this for a couple of weeks, but it works so much better than traditional rolling pins! The price, aesthetic, and function are all top notch. I use this on a daily basis to make homemade tortillas.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid pin I switched over to the french rolling pin and I'm so glad that I did. This one is a nice weight and easy to use. I find that I'm able to roll out my dough much easier with this style. It also helps me to ensure a more even dough than with the traditional type.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great design Growing up, my mother always used a large handmade French rolling pin. I de the mistake of buying one with the handles and it just seems clumsy in comparison. So happy I found this beautiful rolling pin from C&B

Rated 5 out of 5 by from How did I live without this? I have a collection of rolling pins and recently found that really I only need one-- this one! It works beautifully to help me roll out perfectly round pie crusts and other pastries. The tapered end works well to scooch out the rounded edges and the surface holds flour well so the pastry didn't stick. Love it and the price!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy Breezy to Use My husband went to a pasta making class and the instructor said we needed a longer rolling pin--the French kind. So we went on line and found this one--great buy, and it works great for rolling out pasta dough, and pizza dough, too. Can't wait to try it on French pastry.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from best way to roll I love that it's easy to clean, no crevices as in the rolling pin with the handles. It takes a bit to get used to but I think it gives you more control than other kinds of rolling pins. Also, there's just a cool factor using it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than a Regular Rolling Pin We were hemming and hawing over whether to register for the french rolling pin or the regular one with handles. After trying both styles out, we decided the french was fantastic. It is much easier to use and control because you can slide your handles across the pin and apply pressure where its most needed. It rolls more smoothly, and the dough comes out more evenly. And honestly, this feels much more comfortable on the hands and arms. The dough does not stick to this pin, but I always apply some flour just in case. I'll never go back to rolling pins with handles!
