Great coffee maker
The Cuisinart Black Brew Central 12 cup coffee maker is easy to use, has an efficient design and uses minimal counter space. My husband is very particular about his coffee and has recommended this coffee maker to others, as do I. Another great Cuisinart product.

Great coffee maker!
This coffee maker is easy to use, works great, and would recommend it to a any regular coffee maker. It uses the cone filters, which you can buy in the non-bleached version. I won't be buying any other kind. Also, this price is very competitive and hard to beat.

Gift to Parents - they LOVE it
I'm not a big coffee drinker myself, but my parents have been needing a new one and I thought this looked like a good one for a great price - I was right! My parents love it, especially the automatic shut-off, so my mom doesn't have to worry at work if she forgot to shut it off. It's programmable so they have it ready to go the night before so they will have a fresh cup in the morning. I have had no complaints from them about my gift!

Great All Around Coffee Pot
Cuisinart has an excellent reputation for appliances, and the Black Brew Central 12 Cup Coffee Maker is no exception. It is simple to use and we love the paperless filter and time delay setting. The only thing I would change is to have some type of insulation for the pot!

Still looks beautiful years after receiving it as a wedding gift. Nothing has broken. Love it's look and functions great.

Great Coffee Maker For The Price!
I bought this coffee maker over a year ago and absolutely love it. We use it DAILY and have had zero problems. I'm a bit of a coffee snob, so I want the great beans I buy to taste as good as possible and with this machine you'll get it. Don't pay more when you don't have to! I love the auto-brew setting as well. We just set the time we're getting up in the morning and we come downstairs to fresh, hot coffee...it's the best!

Loyal and Dependable
This was the very first gift I received in the mail before our October 2009 wedding and I think I have used it nearly everyday since then. It is dependable, brews a great cup of coffee, and is very easy to maintain. The only frustrating part is that the water filter is more expensive than I would like but you don't have to replace it that often (every 3 months or so).

This is a great basic coffeemaker. It keeps the coffee hot for quite a while after it is brewed, and turns off automatically.

Great Coffee Maker!
I had to replace my old Mr. Coffee coffee maker and did my homework before settling on this Cuisinart. I absolutely love it! I love that it's self-cleaning, programmable, and NEVER DRIPS when you pour it! Highly recommend!

Great coffee maker
We originally bought a termal coffee maker, but it turns out that after those are done brewing the heating pad underneath the carafe turns off. Since we like to spend Saturday mornings slowly drinking our coffee and eating breakfast we found that by the time we wanted our last cup the coffee was cold.
This coffee maker stays on for about two hours and then shuts off automatically (I think you can also keep it on, but the automatic shut-off is great in case you forget to turn it off you don't have to worry about a fire hazard). Our coffee was warm when we wanted it and tasted great. I'd definitely recommend this product.

Clock Randomly Resets
Purchased this coffee maker 1 week ago at the Walnut Creek, CA store. Clock ramdomly resets to 12:00, both when the unit is plugged in but not brewing, and during the brew/warm cycle (which shuts the brewing and burner off!). Outlet is fine. This appears to be a known problem, have contacted Cuisinart. Most likely will return. Very disappointed.

Not the best
We have had two of these coffeemakers now. The first lasted several years, with daily use, and we had no problems. Good coffee. Woke up one morning and went to make coffee and it just wouldn't work. LIke others have said "It had died". Purchased another one (same exact one) that morning and here we are, just 8 months later, and the same thing has happened. We've emailed Cuisinart customer service about it. No satisfactory response so far. I would not recommend it...too much money to last only 8 months.

Love it
I was hesitant about purchasing such a pricey coffee maker at first but am very glad I did. I have been using it for a little over a month now and have had no problems. The coffee maker is very nice looking on the counter (and I don't have the most modern kitchen), it's very easy to use, and the coffee tastes great. I also really like the auto programming and auto-off features. I know some other reviewers complained about not having the windows on the side of it to know how much water you are putting in, but I just use the markings on the carafe. So far I am very pleased with this coffee maker.

Dies in a year
Got this as a wedding present. A year later, it died. I sent it back to cuisinart and they sent me a brand new one. About a year after I got the new one, it broke AGAIN. Clearly this thing has an expiration date.

Water level?
I love everything about this coffee maker - it's a great quality. However, the water level indicator is inside - so you can't see how much water you're putting in. You can look inside and there's a little "ladder" with numbers, but you have to be tall to see in and have a super power which illuminates the black plastic interior so you can see the water level. Interesting engineering - I'd prefer the indicator to be on the outside - easy for all to see. Otherwise, it's a great coffee maker - it was a gift; I wouldn't have purchased this for myself because of that issue.
I put that I'd recommend it to a friend, but only tall friends with great vision. :)

Freshest Coffee By Far
Coffee tastes so fresh and stays hot for a long time! Great when entertaining! I love this coffee maker-should have replaced my Mr. Coffee a long time ago!
