The selling feature on this coffee maker is the thermal, insulated carafe. My husband and I have very different morning schedules and had to make to separate pots of coffee because our previous machine had a glass pot that would burn our coffee. This new machine keeps our coffee hot long enough for only one of us to have to run the machine in the morning. Easy to use and coffee turns out tasty.

Awesome Coffee
This coffee machine has made mornings so much easier. I love the fact that I can set the timer and it grinds the beans and brews the coffee so I have a cup ready for me when I wake up. The only pain is cleaning the various grinding/ brewing parts but it is well worth it for the fresh ground, fresh brewed coffee.

Disappointment
Love Cuisinart products and was excited about this purchase. However, in a matter of months the vessel that holds the water leaked. It was a mess. It actually rusted through.

Love the looks
Despite having the same issues as other people, I still love this coffee maker.
It is difficult to pour... I just wipe the drips off the counter
It is hotter the more you make.... too bad my husband doesn't drink coffee. I love when we have company and I can make a full pot. I just warm up my milk first.
But it always looks nice on my counter!

quite good
This makes good coffee and keeps the coffee nice and hot for a while as long as it is more than half full. Anything less than that will cool off. I wish it didn't make the loud beep when the water is finished cycling through. And that is my only complaint.

This coffee maker not only makes great coffee easily, but keeps it hot for quite a long time--longer than the coffee lasts!

disappointed
Bought this to replace another Cuisinart coffeemaker we owned for 5 years before it gave out. We love everything about this coffee pot EXCEPT the temperature of the coffee-it is just barely hot immediately after brewing. After an hour, it is lukewarm. Maybe we got a dud, but after reading other recent reviews, many people have similar problems. Hope to be able to return it.

luke warm coffee
Pros:
- Overall nice design, aesthetically pleasing.
- 1-4 cup setting
Cons:
- coffee maker does not make hot enough coffee.
- poorly designed carafe, it doesn't keep coffee hot,
coffee pours out of it very slowly, difficult to clean.
Returning item immediately for something else... I'm very disappointed.

The Negatives Reviews are 100% Correct
We really dislike this coffee maker for numerous reasons and have not much positive to say about it. I'll start w/ the good: so far it keeps coffee warm for hours and it looks prettier than my old coffee maker. The negatives: the design of the carafe makes it very difficult to pour the water into the maker, you never know how many cups you are brewing until it gets into the machine (we use a large measuring cup also when making a pot so we don't have to go back and forth until we get it right), coffee pours out very slowly once brewed and in the carafe, the carafe is difficult to clean, the lid to the carafe never come completely clean.
I would take this back if the store was closer to my house. My old $30 one was much better designed.

Lukewarm Coffee
Coffee is great, but is never warmer than lukewarm even if you drink right after brewing. Must microwave it to drink it hot.

hard to pour, coffee isn't hot
We received this as a gift to replace our other cuisinart coffeemaker (which I used for 6 years and LOVED) - this one is terrible - doesn't keep the coffee hot at all, especially with small volumes, and the carafe is hard to pour - liquid comes out as a trickle. It's going back.

I LOVE this coffeemaker!
I was skeptical that the charcoal filter would make a better cup of coffee, but I was wrong -- this truly is a better cup. It's easy to set up and use. I've had this appliance for a month now and I'm very pleased. The thermal carafe keeps the coffee warm for at least eight hours. I definitely recommend it.

Great Coffee
Love this coffee maker! We programmed the coffeemaker once, no matter what day of the week, the coffee will be made at 5 am. Even on the weekends, when we wake around 8 or 9 am, the coffee is still very hot. We tested it at first to see how long the coffee would remain hot. It was still hot after 12 hours. Very easy to program, very easy to fill, excellent coffee. It's worth the extra money for such great tasting coffee. It also looks great sitting on the countertop.

Avoid Cuisinart Thermal Coffee Maker
We received this as a gift. It makes good coffee, but it is hard to pour the water into the reservoir. If we forget to put the pot underneath immediately, it runs over because there is no safety guide. After three months, the thermal pot was no longer thermal. It holds the coffee, but is no better than a glass pot.

Very unhappy with product
I bought the first coffee maker, had it 2 months and had to return it because it quit working all together. I took it back to Crate and Barrel and they gave me another one. After a couple months, I had to return the new one as well due to the fact that the thermal carafe was no longer keeping the coffee hot longer than 1 hour. Also, with both coffee makers, it was extremely difficult to pour the water into it before brewing. No matter how hard I tried, slow or fast, it would spill all down the side of the coffee maker and all over the countertop. I would not recommend this to anyone. I now have the glass carafe pot.

Great Coffee
I love this coffee maker. I've had it for about 6 months now. The coffee stays hot for hours inside the thermal carafe, and this is the best brewed coffee I've ever had from a coffee maker.

Great Coffee!
This is a very easy to use coffee maker and it makes a great pot. I have been using this with the Krups grinder and can whip out a pot of coffee in 5 minutes every morning with the delay settings. Love it and definitely recommend.
