Gets the job done
I have a beautiful handmade ceramic bowl that I wanted to prop up to display. This little easel does the job. I do like that it is simple and not visible. It isn’t the best quality. The right side of it actually doesn’t lay flat---comes up off of the table. But, it still works, so it wasn’t worth sending it back.

It works!
I was worried that this easel would be too flimsy to really work, but gave it a try. It's functional, adjustable, and unobtrusive. I use it for a decorative dinner-size plate and it does its job.

I keep buying more!
I bought 5 of these to display a set of my wedding china. I even doubled up items on the easel (a plate under a bowl, 2 different sized plates, etc) ... the arrangement looks great!
Then I moved to a house with a butlers pantry with glass doors... suddently I was seeing more and more things I could display on these. A cheese platter, a serving dish. It also made ROOM in my butlers pantry by getting long flat plates up and on their sides, using 1/3 of the shelf space!

Great for decorating
I had two large decorative bowls that were too deep for most typical stands. This Easel is sturdy and sufficiently adjustable to do the trick!

Perfect
This is the perfect easel to display plates. You can display your plate at any angle you wish, the easel is virtually invisible and provides a stable, sturdy foundation so your plate is in no danger of falling over.

Plate Display
I ordered these plate holders to display several smaller plates we had. I love the design and they are quite sturdy for the eight inch plates we have. Would not recommend for larger plates, however for eight inch or less they work quite well.

Very lightweight
I wouldn't use this to display an object unless it is quite small. I tried putting an artglass plate that was about the size of a standard dinner plate on this easel, and it seemed highly unstable. I wouldn't put anything of value on this since the plastic is a bit flimsy.

Good for displays
I like using this easel just for what it's intended for; not seeing it! It works great for plates, as shown or I've even used them to hold my son's sports plaques on his desk. I agree, if you are going for "looks," then go for the others but this sturdy, little easel has many practical uses.

Get the metal easels instead
This is your basic commercial-grade plate stand like you would see things displayed on in a store. it's kinda cheap looking. If you have a standout piece you're looking to display, I would go with the metal easels.
