Best Invention
I didn't realize they made these until I was browsing recently at crate and barrel gadgets. I have purchased two and love them; no more burns when handling pots.

Melts on handle
I thought this was defective because the first time I used it the inside melted and left plastic/nylon all over the handle of my all-clad.
It should be assembled with the dotted-rubber inside on both ends. However, the back of the handle is sewn with the rubber on the outside. As a result, the back half is not heat resistant.
Take a look at the image of the back - the little nubby bumps on the back should be inside like they are on the front.

Love this little kitchen helper~!
I have been looking everywhere for one of these! I had one that I got years ago, so needless to say, it's done it's job and is a little burnt and worn out now. I couldn't remember where I had found that one and have been looking every since.
I added this to my order, since it was free shipping and now I wish I would have ordered a few (but I think they are available in the stores). They really do work on some of those pans that don't guarantee handles not to get hot and especially on Cast Iron pans.

Great for iron skillet
These are perfect for your iron skillet handles and are much better thatn the ones I found in the "big box" stores. Those that I found locally in the stores were too bulky to give a secure fit. I also prefer the neoprene over cloth or silicone. Great product, would have gotten 5 stars, if it had a tighter fit.

Easier than an oven mitt
I recently moved into a new home with a gas cooktop, and my stainless pans get much hotter while cooking. I have noticed that after cooking for a decent amount of time the handle will get very warm or hot, closer to the pan itself. This sleeve allows me to hold the handle and not worry about getting burned, and has a nice grip on the inside as well as the outside of the sleeve. I was skeptical at first, but very happy I purchased. One less thing to worry about.
