Poor product, return to manufacturer
I purchased one of these and it only lasted a couple of months. The plastic cracked and the handle broke off. The metal grater worked fine, but the plastic around the grater was too brittle to withstand use. I called the manufacturer and they are going to issue me a new one. They claim they have recently improved the product so the new one should be more durable.

poorly made for Microplane
I am usually a huge Microplane fan, and was excited to try out this citrus tool. However, I was soon disappointed with the quality of this zester. The metal grater portion is more flimsy than Microplane's usual graters and bends easily. What makes this worse is that the metal is "reinforced" by a thin plastic ring that runs around its curvy edge. This means that whenever the metal bends, the plastic ring cracks and breaks off. This cracking & breaking also happened in the dishwasher after only its second use. I ended up throwing it away after only a few months and investing in Microplane's long, rectangular zester/grater, which I absolutely love and has not given me any of the above problems. I recommend investing in that slightly more expensive, classic model instead of this one.

Love this, wish it was stronger
I love having the zester and strip peeler all in one on this tool. The handle is very comfortable to grip and I appreciate that it's machine washable. The first one I had cracked at the join between the handle and the blade after just one month. I liked the tool enough to order a second one, and so far it is holding together. I wish the metal blade was set into the handle though, instead of just held there with plastic. Still a good tool for the price.
