Great Item
This is great. I have bought similar items in Europe used them for years. This one has so far has several months in my house and is working great. Handwash only. I used it as a spreader, butter, cream cheese, other cold or room temp items. I did not use it as a spatchula (sp?) like the other reviewer. She used the wrong instrument on her non-stick pans. It is a spreader. Pretty, unique, and I have always gotten compliments from guests.

Olivewood Spreader
We got two of the olivewood spreaders as a gift. They are perfect for butter, jams, hummus or soft cheese. They are casual and classy and I would also not hesitate to use them in a more formal setting. Perfect and easy clean up too!

Disappointed in the low quality
I received this as a shower gift for my wedding. After about 2 uses and hand washing this item, the handle snapped in half when I was cleaning it. I knew not to put it in the dish washer as stated above, but was very disapointed in the low quality when it broke while hand-washing. It was nice to cook with and use on our non-stick surfaced pans, but it was a short life for this spatula and we did not get any good use out of it!

Love this spatula
I've had the pierced spatula for about 4 months and it is my go-to utensil when sauteing. It has a great width and length and I don't have to worry about scratching my pans. I bought one to add to my Mom's stocking this Christmas.
