Doesn't overheat!

My first mixer...
I don't have anything to compare this to as it was my first mixer. It seems fine and gets the job done, but doesn't seem that special. The lowest speed is a bit fast. I think the sale price is reasonable, but do not think I would spend $75 on this.

Great for Baking
This is an absolute must for any baker. It's so easy to use and clean up is a breeze. Just pop the attachments off and throw them in the dishwasher and you're done! It mixes brilliantly. It blends ingredients very quickly. However, the lowest speed setting seems a bit high-powered and fast. I wish there was a level that was a bit slower than the lowest level. But, overall, this is a great mixer that I think any baker would be happy with!

Best hand mixer
By far the best hand mixer I have ever purchased. Very light and easy to use, easy clean and doesn't take up to much room in the cabinet.

Good Hand Mixer
I use this hand mixer all the time and it works great! The only thing is at higher speeds, it's a little hard to hold still, but it still does the job.

Great little mixer
for the money you can't go wrong, its a great little mixer. The other reviews are correct though -- I've never seen a mixer splash batter all over the place like this one. I put the bowl in a deep sink, so not a problem. I just wipe down the sink when I'm done. I could never use it on the counter top -- it would make a huge mess.

LOVE this mixer!
I received this mixer as a gift for my bridal shower. I love the ease of using it, and clean-up is a breeze. I ordered one for my mom and now I'm ordering one for my sister for her bridal shower.

Too Powerful
I have been baking for years and typically use my KitchenAid stand mixer or mix by hand, depending. I registered for this mixer because my mom has a hand held (different brand), uses it all the time, and loves it. While I really like the look and feel of the mixer, the lowest setting is like a "medium" setting on any other mixer. It's way too powerful and in turn doesn't allow me enough control. I'm disappointed and will not be using it as much as I had hoped.

Replacing an old hand mixer
This mixer seemed to have all the qualifications needed in a hand mixer. I would like to have had a second beater attachment for whisking, but this one appears to handle most everything I need it for. Good companion for my other kitchen appliances. Arrived in a timely fashion and intact.

Too powerful and loud...will be returned!
We received this as a wedding gift and are sorely disappointed with it's performance. I've had my cheapy hand mixer for years and it's worked fine. But, since I love to bake and was getting married, I decided to upgrade to a fancy Cuisinart mixer. The first time my husband and I used it...even on the lowest setting, it sprayed batter all over our kitchen!!! I'm not a novice baker and tried switching bowls, changing the angle of the mixer, etc. and nothing worked. I've tried it several other times and still, even the lowest setting is far too powerful. I cannot imagine using the highest setting...unless I'm substituting it for a boat motor. :) In addition, it's extremely loud when in operation. It's a shame - we have several Cuisinart products and have been very happy with them. This item, unfortuantely, will be returned.

Definite not chinzy!
This mixer has good heft, good feel. Powerful for everything I've tried, from stiffer doughs to mashed bananas to eggs. Clean, contemporary look, I like the thinner beaters - they mix everything really well. The drop in price was great! And so is Cuisinart! Well worth the money!

Powerful and well made
Typical of Cuisinart products this one is well made and plenty powerful. I do wish it had just one lower speed but maybe that's just because I was used to my old mixer which bogged down on thicker doughs. Regardless just like my Cuisinart food processor this mixer is wonderful.

Great value
This mixer is an exceptional value. I bought one for myself and one for my mother. We both have used our new mixers and are very pleased with their performance. As powerful as you need a mixer to be. We have used the mixer for everything from beating eggs for an omelet to mashing potatoes (almost 10 lbs of potatoes). This mixer does the job!

Mighty Small But Incredibly Mighty
Who says your mixer has to be as big as a mac truck? I just ordered the Cuisinart 5-Speed Hand Mixer from Crate & Barrel and what a revelation! No need to take up loads of counter or cabinet space with an enormous machine. Even on the lowest speed, this mixer is amazingly powerful. I had no idea what I was missing. It's such a work horse, it wouldn't surprise me if it could knead bread dough, but I think I'll leave that particular job to the experts. Way to go Cuisinart. Way to go C&B--I've never been disappointed in a purchase yet!

absolutley love!
I love this little hand mixer! I just bought it a few weeks ago and have already used it to bake 6 cakes! Very easy cleanup and storage. I have several other Cuisinart products and have had no problems with any of them so far.

Great Purchase
