Great non-leaking containers!
I bought the smaller bowl and absolutely love it. I was looking for something glass that I could use to transport my lunch - this fit the bill! The lid fits really well, too.

Don't expect these to be round, but ...
Love the big and small glasses in this line. None of mine have broken, and they daily go from fridge to microwave just fine.
I expect the same from these two small bowls.
While the lids fit fine, and one of the bowls is more or less round, the other isn't. The rim is absolutely, undeniably, shockingly tending towards triangular. While I consider this rather quirky and somewhat amusing, it might bother those of you who are expecting (or needing) round bowls that are actually round.
Even if perfect, these bowls don't nest very well, so being "out of round" doesn't particularly affect stacking. Personally, I only care if the lids fit snugly and the bowls are functional - which they are. I will probably order more.

Most favorite!
This is, without exception, my favorite bowl in the kitchen. I cannot begin to list all of the foods that I have made, served, and stored in this bowl.
I have even used it for molded gelatins.
Be a friend and add it to your gift for a bridal shower or housewarming. The recipient will use it daily!

Impossible lids
Pro: They stay on and don't leak
Con: They stay on and are almost impossible to get off. It's even worse when the containers are cold. By the time I get to my leftovers, I'm usually furious and in pain. It hurts your fingers!

awesome product!
You will find many uses for this bowl in the kitchen from salad dressings to sauces. The seal is great on the lid! This will become a favorite product!

Best containers for me
I was looking for glass containers to replace most of my plastic containers for leftovers and to take to work. These work great, they do have plastic lids but I think it's better than nothing. I tried the ones with glass lids but gravitate towards these in the end.

Awesome!
I couldn't be happier with this purchase. The size is great - I've used it to store leftovers and make salads to bring to work for lunch. The lid is super tight but I would rather have a tight lid than one that doesn't stay on (which was a problem with a set of food storage containers I had previously). Buy a few!

One of 10 best purchases ever
The small working glass bowls are my most favorite and hardest working kitchen item. I own 40 or more of them and I am not sure I have enough. I love these bowls because:
1) They are sturdy. Have never lost a single bowl. Only one lid has ripped but I can buy lids separately so got a couple of extra ones.
2) The bowls can go in the oven, in the microwave, the freezer and the dishwasher. (lid can go in the dishwasher and freezer)
3) It is made in the USA. That is a huge selling point for me. This product keeps manufacturing jobs in the US. The lid is made in France and that is fine too.
4) No food to plastic contact with these bowls.
5) The bowls stack wonderfully. Very stable in the drawers and on the shelves. I keep the lids on the empty containers which makes them stack neatly.
6) I can see the content through the sides and the bottom. This is a huge advantage over plastic.
7) They keep their shape unlike plastic containers.
8) They are very attractive. You can keep them out on the counter and you can fill them with your favorite treats and give them as gifts.
9) The size is absolutely perfect for left overs or prepared meals for one person.
10) The lid fits so well that you can submerge the container in warm water for gentle defrost or put a lunch soup in your bag without it leaking out.
I use them to store pantry items such as raisins, lentils, seeds and nuts of various kinds. The tight fitting lid makes certain that no bugs get to the food and even when stacked 10 high, I can see exactly what is in each one of them.
I use them for the raw/fresh dog food I prepare for my dog every 3 weeks and then freeze.
Finally, we fill them with left overs and freeze them so there is alway a selection of lunch food for my husband to grab and throw in his backpack. Because the lids fit so tightly no worries about leaking.
I hope Crate and Barrel will keep this item forever and also will think of selling more products made in the US.

Pretty and Functional Bowls
In reading some of the other reviews, I wonder if we are talking about the same product. I LOVE the fact that the lids fit tight. I don't find them hard to get on or off-- they just have a snug fit so I know the food is staying fresh.
I love the weight of them as well. And I have had no problem with putting hot liquids in as some other reviewers have. They are pretty enough to serve in even for company. Count me in as a fan.

Very useful
We have used these bowls for a variety of things. We never seem to have enough of them. Because of the lids things will not spill. They are great for storing small amounts of things, stack nicely, and look good.

Very Disappointed
I used it once in the microwave and it cracked on the inside of the glass. Otherwise, I thought it would have been a great product.

Not crazy about the lid
The lid on this very nice glass bowl is way too difficult to take off. I have to fight with it, and sometimes the contents spill out.

I LOVE THIS BOWL
This is the perfect bowl for taking leftovers to work. I freeze or refridgerate leftover soup, chili, roast or anything I make that will need to be reheated. If I have to microwave food, I only use a glass dish. I used to take my plastic storage wear and a glass bowl to use for heating the food. Now I just use these bowls. Additionally, I think it is a bonus that the lid fits so tightly. Nothing has ever spilled in transit. Bonus...they are only $3.95 each. I plan to purchase several more and even give them as gifts.

Durable but Hard to Open
This bowl is a great size for small leftovers and super durable. It fell out of our fridge without a scratch. My only complaint is that they are very hard to open. If they were easier to open I would love them!

Good so far. Flimsy Lids.
Not impressed with the lids...they seem cheap. Glass container is nice and works well for leftovers.

perfect purchase
I've had these bowls for many, many years and they still look brand new. I bought only the lid to replace the previous one that had torn. It's a perfect fit.

Great Bowl Ever
I already had this bowl for many years, but I just had to buy second one. They are perfect for mixing, storing and even using in the microwave. This bowl is not flimsy, but a heavy weight one, so it can stand up to anything. The lid with this bowl is an excellent seal.

storage bowl delux
These bowls, both small and large, enable a busy person the luxury of perfect storage with no throw-a-ways which help our planet, but are also designer friendly for even elegant dinners. Be careful to keep the lids from high temps in the dishwasher and contents that are too hot.

Dont Buy
This bowl cracked in half first time I tried to store cooked food (just off the stove). The bowl was brand new, hand washed. I've never had this problem with my glass pyrex bowls.

Sorry...
The first time that I used this bowl, it was sitting @ room temp. I boiled water in a glass measuring container, then poured the water into this bowl to make jello. The bowl instantly cracked all across the bottom.
