The one and Only
This is the only peeler I will ever use. I've had it for 5-6 years now. It is still good, still completely functional, no rust.

Only Peeler you should consider
I know it is lame to say, but I really do love this peeler. It is worth the extra little bit of money to buy it. It is so comfortable in my hand and it does a great job!

Best peeler EVER!
It's not so much that I'm not a good cook, it more that I don't really enjoy cooking a whole lot, being single. As a result, I don't cook often, so my skills, rust. So finding a tool that makes cooking easier gets my attention. I was visiting friends who insist on putting their guests to work in the kitchen (do they have any idea what they're getting us all into?) and they assigned me to peeling vegetables and handed me an Oxo peeler. I have used many peelers in my time and had found all the same---awful. But not the Oxo! I should have known. Every Oxo product that I've ever bought my Mom has been superior in every way--why shouldn't the peeler be as well?
I immediately ordered a peeler for myself, just in case I ever needed to peel something--as well as extras for my Mom, sister and for hostess gifts. I often take Oxo measuring cups as hostess gifts for hosts who have 'aging' eyesight and they invariably are extremely thankful!

Armed and Ready for those Potatoes
Who knew peeling potatoes could be so comfortable? This peeler feels really good in your hands and the blade slides really nicely over whatever you are peeling. The job gets done quickly!
I should have bought it years ago.

great peeler
After replacing a dozen of those cheap $2 peelers, it was time to invest into a nicer one and what a difference it is. The blade stayed sharp, nice grip handle and easy to clean. It was worth the extra money

Best peeler ever
I used this at a friend's house and just HAD to have it!! Not having the proper tools for any job just makes it harder and not as enjoyable. This peeler is so smooth and sharp and just makes me want to peel something....really, we eat alot of raw carrots and this just makes the task so much easier - the kids line up to peel carrots.

Very apPEALing!
We like its contemporary design, and easy grip handle! Its comfy to hold and the tip is great to getting areas such as potato eyes out as you peel and wash.... and its dishwasher safe - what could be better!

Good peeler
This peeler has a very comfortable handle, and is useful in most vegetable peeling applications (some tasks are facilitated by a Y peeler, but of course can be done with this one!). The blade cuts well, and the tip is good for removing blemishes and eyes of potatoes.
However, I think that the nearly identical OXO serrated peeler (not currently available at C&B) is easier and faster to use. That thing cuts through potatoes like nobody's business! Unfortunately, it can also take a chunk out of your finger if you're not careful, so if you have kids in the kitchen, or if you are particularly accident prone, then go with the peeler above.

OXO does it again
This peeler is so comfortable to use that people who have trouble with their hands and used it in our kitchen are happy with it.
Even if you do not have arthritis, swelling or other problems with hand movement, OXO makes very useful and comfortable kitchen tools. And, Crate and Barrel sells OXO at a great price - a winning combination!

Great Peeler
The handle of this peeler seems a little awkward at first (it's much larger than the handle of most other peelers), but that's what makes it work so well. You can peel a lot quickly without feeling like you've developed a new case of carpal tunnel syndrome afterwards. The blade is also pretty well positioned to keep you from slicing your hand up. Ditch the cheap-o peeler and pay the slightly larger amount for this one.

Great Peeler
Wonderful heft and feel; thickness of handle is right. As with all peelers, be careful of 'cutting' your thumb when potato-peeling (just read advice to stick a corkscrew in a potato as a handle, in Cooks Illustrated). Cleans pretty well, though some nooks and crannies are hard to reach and can rust a little over time. I trust OXO.
